  5. I was there and it was awesome to watch 2 new SA track records being set. Also happy that two of our club members (Kinetic Cycling Club) was part of the junior team who set the new SA record in the team pursuit (not sure exactly what the distance/time was :-). Also watching Darren Lill in action was inspiring. The man is a machine !!!

  7. I remember those days and at that speeds you are too afraid to get out the slip because the draft wind could throw you off your bike.

  17. Can anyone please let me know what the code is for the R129 bearings from Bearing Man? I would prefer buying them before taking my wheel apart :-) "Bearing man have two version of the cartridge bearing - one for R69 and one for R129"
  18. Sweeeeeet. Enjoy and it feels good doing it yourself.
  19. Andy its about the rear dropouts being horizontal for chain tensioning thats the major hassle.
  20. Thanks and I think I lost you at that technical section just after we went under the railway bridge. I was lucky to get up there without having to unclip. You did well and luckily you still have youth on your side.
  21. I should get my PowerCal by Wednesday and the reason why I bought one was because I would like to get some sort of stress scores when I use my MTB. I have a road PowerTap and most of my training is done on my road bike. I opted for a road PT because of the price and also because I can do more controled power training on the road and on my indoor trainer. I think the PowerCal will be great for MTBiking (off road) because of the very stochastic nature of mountain biking. What I remain curious about is whether the FTP that is entered into the head unit affects the PowerCal's output. If I changed my FTP in my Garmin head unit to 500W (no where near my actual FTP) then will it influence the reading produced by the PowerCal. Apparently it should not affect the reading but I still cannot see how it is possible to calculate power based on HR alone :-D
  22. I've actually found that the best money that I have spent to get better results was buying a power meter. Now I can train the engine that drives the wheels. The bikes in this post look great but hopefully you guys are not a bunch of show ponies :-)
