  1. Yip, what dips said....friars balsak for the win.....important is to keep on treating the sore and sitbone area even after they are gone... For now you will need 1 roll of *** in n wolkombers dressing and 1 bottle of friars balsak....dab friars on cotton wool, apply on sore, and apply dressing....change dressing every second day. Oh and if you can shave the area, you will thank me later. Dips....what goes on tour, but I will say this much....me and that aunty had something special, something real...how many aunties are prepared to look at your rusty sheriff's badge after 5 hours in the saddle and still give you a wink...se maar net.
  2. hehehehe.....I hope your hubby didnt buy your engagement ring there.
  3. You might want to if you think pinarello is the only bike being faked / copied Venge / Foil / Tarmac / Dogma they are all there...heck they will even through in a sworks paintjob for a few dollars more....
  4. Ok champs....grease those bearing my koot, why not make a hub from an old grease pot.... I should have known better and quit a few posts ago.
  5. And for someone that buys into "waterproof grease" snakeoil label, you might need to dig a bit deeper in the google machine since its your favourite consumable
  6. CRAAAAAIG Man, you won't believe it....saw her plodding along at northerns the other day, couldn't hold my lag....she must have thought I was a weirdo. Oh and no sign of CRAAAAAIG. I think he might have given up and hung himself.
  7. See the key is CK bearings are designed to be re-greased / serviced. The bearings in hope hubs arent. By compromising the seal with the picking and prodding you will do more harm than good with the bearings in question.
  8. You don't know what you are missing mnr....quiet time.
  9. taking the ipad to the bog is just not the same....old school that way
  10. why?
  11. something tells me, they chose the wrong guy to sell a fake to....its now a principal thing.
  12. booom, thanks for playing. That is the ballgame
  13. dude....your first post: "I did get carried away filling the bearings with grease, I noticed that added quite a lot of resistance. Is this normal for a Hope rear hub or have I got something wrong?" We told you why you shouldn't do it over and above the fact that it does tokol ito extending the life of the bearing, yet you want to now argue as to why you need the extra grease...yet your wheel isnt spinning as freely as you would expect after the additional grease....so even IF it did extend the life by a little, surely a smoother spinning wheel is more favourable. Now you have two options.. 1.Ride the blerrie wheel that isnt spinning as nice...aka moenie moan nie, eet jou kaas en jou polony 2.Take the advice here, chuck those compromised bearings and fit brand new ones without fiddling with their seals and enjoy miles of ever lasting spinning wheels Your problem....your call.
  14. Give them horns andrew...
  15. phew....thanks goodness, will have to play that card. I almost starting going into details of our 2013 joberg2c tour, but I fear I will be banned should I divulge some of the war stories

  19. And that is exactly why I love racing...the spirit / laughs / interactions are the things you remember, not the 4 seconds you shaved off your time because you had your singletrack cape on. My best races events were because of the mates and laughs we had(mackie / dips / eldron / jakalas / graham / chuckky / jcza / swift / meyer boys / typhoon / ross / Idejongh) will agree with me I am sure
  20. Is it in the race diary...will check it out. To be honest, I like unknown races more than the big sponsered ones...I might just
