  1. Ek bedank as mens......
  2. Yep, praaaaap
  3. Presies, luckily they get penalized in their seeding wrt old results. So in 3-5 races time you will be grouped with people that have avg race time....
  4. nah more like non event in my life, they disappear come the first hill, never to be seen again.
  5. sure, now maintain that position for the next hill or flat section on district road...then you da winna
  6. No man, not saying you are...just some, the same okes that come the first little bump shoot out the back of the group like a snot rocket
  7. whahahahha everytime I tell you...I see cwc is running a request bargain thread....I need to ask about pompe again
  8. Hardly hatin oom....also a proud member of said club. How do you know you are a dirt roadie Own a roadbike Love climbing & flats on district road Know every inch of breedtsnek training route Love racin Not too good with tech stuff and rocks... Know your FTP / MMP / Power to weight ratio for 20 min effort yep, I am a dirtroadie
  9. They are in front of you arent they....hence they are better at that specific spot in the race. Not rocket science.
  10. What is the big deal with letting the oke ride at his pace down the singletrack instead of screaming track like a banshee...rather stop and wait for a gap when you can bomb down at your leisure. If the oke had a crap, well then he needs to drop the kids of at the pool before he is in the chute...
  11. No it doesnt....but then marathon races requires a mixed bag of skills..so if they are in front of you, its because they are better at you wrt to some Make peace with it
  12. Nice flippa or even better.....if bombing down the singletrack is so important to someone....pull off the track if its congested and wait till there is a big gap so that you can gooi mielies We mos not racing....time is just for the first 3 podium spots
  13. Oh...now we are racing again....mmmm. See he/she is also racing and want to have the best time possible...its up to you to pass safely, not for him/her to move over. No matter which way we cut it, they are infront of you for a reason... Better batch Better climber Work on those and you wont have the frustration.
  14. Why is he in front of you to start with?
  15. That was what Eldron was referring to in his post...however, you cannot demand / get upset if someone doesnt move over for you cause the knife cuts both ways...what is a half a second mean to you sitting behind someone...both parties are mos not racing Live and let live
  16. Waaaahahhaa those were the days my friend.... pomp is a pomp ou pel
  17. Yep, off the bike = off the trail / track.
  18. On jeep track / district road you shouldnt need to move over, there is ample space. If its a race then unfortunately its up to you to pass, not for them to move over. Is what it is
  19. To the OP, there is an exception though....if they person is off his bike(pushing / mech) he / she needs to move out of the way.
  20. Unfortunately not, you need to work on your climbing / seeding so that come singletrack, you will arrive there first. Alternatively work on your passing skills if you don't want to do hills.
  21. Up to the person behind you to pass you safely....they can shout as much as they want, you have right of way... But see Eldron's post ito not being a dwis
  22. Go for it meneer...
  23. i think there are many ways to skin a cat...the one that makes most sense to you and fits your tooling and skillset is the best advice. my 2c
  24. I hear you, but according to him they have quite the triathlon / road scene with all the expats. The government knows this and spent millions of durams(spelling???) on infrastructure(the dedicated cycling road I mentioned). They really get looked after
  25. Wife and myself have some friends over there...teachers nogals. The guy reckons there is quite a big Triathlon scene over there....even a dedicated cycling road only for people on roadbikes. Who knew
