Good question but lets stick with one crime like fraud(which is closest to doping if you think about it) Would you hire a previously convicted fraudster to do your books or work at your company....probably not. If you have a criminal record you have a zero to tokkol chance to get a job in my company due to screening procedures. So those are paying the price for the rest of their lives ito getting jobs....shouldn't professional cyclists as well? They made the choice, there is a consequence.

I am with you when it comes to convictions, you can't ban someone based on hearsay..the "airtight" part is a bit grey though...what is airtight? seems like its opinion rather than fact. If the doping agencies find someone guilty that should the end of the story or airtight if you will....Every doper(except ol DG) had some violin music / victimization as part of their defense but in the end, they were still sanctioned ie guilty....they are dopers no matter which way you cut it. Basically it should end with the conclusion made by the doping agency. I appreciate the stance some of the races are taking and to show this I will support them, and them only...I think the root issue is money and recognition as pointed out by Eldron. If the consequence of doping is to be banned for life from races where you receive these it will surely act as a deterrent for okes thinking about it.

lol...no actually I didnt, but I have popped a diaphragm before when doing a ghetto bleed so I know how easy it is to make a perfectly working brakeset fubar. If someone doesnt have the tools, know how, materials or someone to show them(youtube makes stuff look easy) I think better advice would be to take it to a lbs...its well worth the money.

Hold on...cutting lines too short, damaging pistons when trying to push them back with wrong tools or worst case damaging the diaphragm(incorrect bleeding) makes them fubar on shimano and is not serviceable. I wouldnt suggest someone do this if they don't have the confidence or right tooling as well as materials + bleeding kit. Its not a rocket science job I agree, but I think its bad advice to say "just try"

PS slickjay007 You will also need a shimano bleeding kit / mineral oil and a good quality cable cutting tool(sidecutters is not ideal) if you want to do the DIY thing...there should be extra two olives and inserts for this job in the package...make sure they are there if you buy online

I was in that camp before...its a pretty costly mistake if he gets it wrong though If you not sure, take to a lbs and be prepared to pay

sure sure there is a mark up but then they will probably thow in the fitting and cutting for free. which equates to the 30% if you go and buy from online vendor. Again its a simple job if you know what you doing...but you have the potential to stuff up the brakeset if you dont.. Your call

great point lerouc...the lbs would be in the right to charge you for labour and then some if you pitch with a crc package. Rather buy at lbs.

if you buy out of the box the brakes should come pre-bled, but you will probably have to cut the hoses to fit your bike and might need a bleed. I would defnitely leave this to a shop if you unsure what you must do.

true true....but the bigones have already bought in. Epic, Sani, J2c, B&B, lesotho sky....pga round of applause to those guys...No ex doper can ever stand on their podiums. This must burn the ex dopers knowing it, afterall that is where it matters(ex-dopers need sponsors and sponser want their names in lights at those big events)...no use if you being sponsored helmets and two tubes of chamois butter a year.
