  1. think we have established that its the swat box
  2. booom there is your problem....compromised everything....
  3. needed a pascoe me thinks
  4. Have to agree with Tatt....when the pyga crew was at the trailhead for a show day on the stage and stage max I pitched with my pascoe...Pat saw the one bolt on my rocker pivot was still an older hollow spec one and immediately tjooned his guy to get the newer solid one out of the van. Said to me take the stage max up the spruit and by the time you are back it will be replaced with the stronger bolt. Not often you see the guy that designed your bike sitting on the ground and wrenching your bike even if he wasnt ask to.
  5. hier sit die manne in die royal hotel....hoe lyk dit met nog so a doppie daar
  6. Isnt it funny though...that is exactly what the dopers want to do....it must grate their cajones when the epic / j2c / sani2c is on the tv knowing that they can never participate again.
  7. kekekekeke
  8. lol....1 word lego..keep my little one busy for hours. I keep a eye on her obviously whilst on my trainer but she builds to most elaborate stuff....
  9. Nice...must say, I had to replace the battery on my cadence sensor this week...ball-ache to get one....integrating everything into one unit is the way forward.
  10. sure....I dont ride on the road...too dangerous and yes I am in fourways area.
  11. Wonder what we looking at price point wise... Nevermind...see its 20-25k. Look its a lot of moola but I can honestly say it will be the best return on investment (performance wise) you will ever get. That is if you put in the hours of course.
  12. Think its more than that....a ride outside always beats an indoor trainer ito fun however there are cases when indoor wins: 1.Arrive late from work and need to jump on the trainer at 8 or 9pm 2.Have look after the kiddo whilst needing to fit in a training session 3.When you don't feel like the admin of driving to venue and making sure bike and kit is ready. The most important however is having controlled environment(no weather / traffic / geographic constraints) for training makes a huge difference when trying to follow a structured power based training program. Remember you need to sit in different power points for certain amount of time at the same time maintaining a certain cadence.
  13. kekekek funny guy....but ja, I know exactly how hard to pump the tyres and two clicks on that yellow knob at the back...done...no slippage
  14. not even a bit....its conti gatorskins btw. No slippage ever...even if I hit inclines
  15. I actually have two fans on me in my pic leeu....there is a ceiling fan on full blast too. I overheat quite quick on the trainer.
  16. ag nee wat....gooi handoek oor dit gewoonlik Te veel admin
  17. PS, its also no accident that the trainer is setup close to the door...solid wifi signal is a must for online races
  18. ja nee...you can go full retard with flat screen etc etc....but lets face it, even if you had the moola for all the toys you need to convince your wife which aint gonna happen. Portable....that is what i was after
  19. I see them as different things. TrainerRoad is the focused / structured application. Bkool / Zwift / Virtual Training is on the fun / social side. Both have their uses. I am currently on trainerroad....very good app. Ticks all the boxes
  20. you might loose a couple of watts through shock movement but its neither here nor there since it will be consistently loose x watts. Its more important to always train on the dual sus if you have done your ftp test on it.
  21. can't see why not....
  22. Not really...sure its a considerable investment but I would wager to say the hardcore cyclist probably prefer old school rollers and invest in power meters on the bikes themselves rather than in trainers Smart trainers allows to weekend warrior to do indoor training without it becoming mind numbing. The nice thing about these smart / ergo trainers are that they integrate with apps like trainerroad which gives you one stop shop ito tech and training plans All you have to do is buy a smart trainer, sign up with trainerroad, choose your goal(mtb event / tri / road events) and off you go. Based on your ftp test it will adjust its base, build and specialty phases workouts for your desired outcome. Lets say you want to do go from zero to Sani2c ready. You can choose a base fitness phase of 6 weeks, 8 week short power phase and 8 week mtb marathon speciality phase program. That will ensure you will get the most bang for your buck considering the time you spend training. It will add the workouts to a calendar and adjust the zones as you get stronger while you are progressing. Checkit https://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/plans
