  1. Same story here A and with us its both my inlaws and parent. They are good to us and their grand child. We are a very close family seeing each other at least once a week. I will be lying if I said the thought of immigrating isn't on our minds....and I am sure if it comes to that, the family will support our decision but I will have to live with the fact that the decision has real consequence ito their lives.
  2. Actually guys no....I very much mean "I" "It" will imply that I had no control over it....which isn't true.
  3. but why? Its not a loaded statement at all....over and above every couple / person's circumstance are different...Some are single, some engaged, some in a relationship, some married, some have kids, some don't, some grand parents are still alive, some are not. Some considerations for me, might not be for them. When I say I will kill my parents and in laws I am not being dramatic about it...their grand children are their everything. We are very blessed wrt this...in the sense that we have a great support system in family and friends that will move heaven and earth for my little one. I am not saying that people that relocated don't love their parents....I am just talking about MY situation. In fact I think people pulling the trigger are very brave.
  4. Good question A....I will kill my parents and in-laws should we decide to pack it in...It is the single most important factor keeping us in SA. Their grand children are their everything...
  5. Yip....again things are cheaper here. Unskilled labour being one of them and yes, I pay to get my car washed / lawn mowed / house cleaned / clothes washed and ironed. If you can afford a domestic, why not.
  6. I will fight ya for it
  7. ja, it think SA is a cheap place to live in....food, housing, services etc etc....lets not luxuries.

  14. how many people have died from moering off a mountain vs heart attacks, diabetes or general unhealthy lifestyle which the high risk sport helps prevent We can do this the whole day.
  15. waaahaaa... Now you just making it up....but while we at it...Life insurers want to promote healthy living, and mtb'ing is well healthy, if you dont dope.. This is easy man
  16. Well where is the synergy between: Vodacom and rugby Land Rover and the stormers UPS and Ferrari F1 team SAP / Boeing and Ernie Els I think the "synergy" is a nice to have, the real value lies in airtime gained for brand...and if that airtime is negative well then they pull their sponsorship.
  17. Probably loads....hell I don't know exactly what goes into the woolies doughnuts(favourite pre ride meal of mine) but then again...its not my job. If the doping agencies are struggling to keep the sharp end clean I doubt the focus is on the masses and considering the costs involved in testing people resources better applied.
  18. I am sure CSA doesnt determine what is on the list of banned substance, they enforce the sanction once an athlete is caught. Bottomline, she was tested with a prohibited substance(no matter the amount of benefit). Its her job to ensure that she knows what goes in her body...part of being "pro"
