  1. yea...problem is, if they are serious about the overhaul, they would have to start from scratch, bikes / tech have changed alot in the last couple of years. A new coat of paint won't cut it me thinks.
  2. sorry, was my mistake...also dont know how I got to that
  3. Ja broer, nothing wrong with deore...heavy, but those type of bikes tend to be porkers anyway so what the hell. At least it wear well too. They will have to think out of the box ito speccing the bikes if they are going to be successful. They are going to have to compete in the lower specced trance range, which is an insane value and capable bike.
  4. ....mmmmm good observation there. His choice of words seems like he isn't...If he was involved, surely he would have "seen", "be involved" with the new stuff from morewood. Anyhow...speculation.
  5. Feeling you nic, I mean I almost bliksemed off my chair when I saw a new top of the line pike (in the hub review) goes for 17500 zars. It might have to be very basic spec the way the rand is going, lots of deore comps and OEM cockpit. Oh well
  6. Yep, also see it that happening. But then if Pat is involved, why would help design something that will compete with his stable
  7. CRC
  8. have to agree with this review...one amazing piece of kit my pike is Great performance that is serviceable, and tjoonable without a needing a masters in fluid dynamics.
  9. Like this bike very much(the alu version), voted for it at the bikefair.
  10. snap oom, waar is leon schuster?
  11. And rightfully so, see a TUE can be used as a loophole for dopers. Imo anything that will influence the blood markers should be denied. You will have an unfair advantage even though the reason might be legit. Sit some races out until you are clean and be transparent about everything. No use in trying to use them as an excuse when the pawpaw hits the fan. If the issue is chronic well then get another job.
  12. Kind of has to be when money is involved....there is process and consequence. Being a "pro" isn't just trapping your bike.
  13. Its the 20/20 version
  14. that is good to hear, I would be proper de moer in with the situation if I was him.
  15. Lance, he has plenty of it.
  16. So which brands is he the agent for.
  17. Ta thanks wired Noted!
  18. cheese and rice...seriaas question, I am not 100% sure how oldcootbiker is involved in the cycling industry. Can anybody enlighten me?
  19. mooi, see you over the weekend. pitstop for a coffee and a chainguide... Love your work
  20. Daai wiele....must have
  21. Interesting....not surprised though. Again...you can't really sit in the middle with this one, you either support or don't. And not saying anything(when its your job to do so) also shows support imo. Its really up to the public(joe soap that makes these okes pro riders, pro journos, retailers, event organizers etc etc ) if they want to carry on supporting them.
  22. it is indeed Andrew....little bit of smoke and mirrors, dramatic photo / story and a sprinkle TUE confusion and there you have your plausible violin concerto Luckily SAIDS work on facts and not violin music
  23. another great use for it is to explain suspicious levels....
