  1. to answer your questions... yes and yes
  2. So in the numerous months leading up to the event you never considered cyclists safety on this route - i guess the unexpected peak hour traffic in one of SA's bigger cities caught you by complete suprise? I agree if it wasn't safe for the race to go ahead, change the course for safety reasons... but isn't that something you consider when planning the route - or are we expecting a bit too much from CSA? ps. just an after thought - if this is how our national championships are organised, no wonder CSA can't get sponsors...
  3. So we all have to pay to belong to CSA whether we ae fun riders or serious riders that do SA's... where does our money go? Shocking that they can't even organise SA's... I'm disgusted!
  4. I see they sent you a statoscope as well
  5. apparantly they are available on the notice board at the yacht club... yip real CSA style!
  6. and then I'm sure CSA takes all the $$$
  7. I am really not suprised, CSA is useless... maybe PPA should organize the SA's
  8. Yip - it was one of Bos' mates... see the link: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/96811-table-mountain-safety/page__st__40
  9. water temp is recorded on the day of the event to decide if wetsuits are allowed to be used... it was definitely 14deg...
  10. RollerCoaster or this ride with some really good okes what you think Tank?
  11. No man, AirBen'dale... cycle through...
  12. Only problem i had was that they sent me the wrong clolour - which wasn't a train smash, when i queried it they gave me a $25 discount on my next order (and $5 discount on shipping)
  13. Wow - so you've never had your stuff stopped by customs... I've had to go in every time to get mine, and they don't release it until you provide an invoice... I even tried the line "but it's a gift"... to no avail
  14. Dit was "leeu" koud...
  15. Depends on your bike... I like the Caisse D'Esarnge kit
  16. Yip, ship to SA... and they are good at replying to email queries... As for comfort... chamois aren't bad, I did a few long rides in the shorts, and they defintely not as comfy as my CapeStorm/Vermarc/Giordana Shorts. But they are not bad for what you pay for them. The elastic jobies are just a bit tight around the legs (or maybe my mucles are too big ) I got my stuff within 2 weeks (had to go fetch it at CapeMail as it was stopped by customs thou) - and you pay via paypal so it's all very safe (hopefully that hasn't changed)
  17. Have bought some kit from them... shorts are on the small side - I ordered one size up, depending how you like your jerseys fit - (I usually take a medium and their mediums were nce and snug)... Jersey's are nice quality, shorts okay for shorter rides... not the most comfy for longer rides. Add about 50% to your purchase price for VAt and import duties if your stuff gets stopped by customs thou...
  18. I've also only had great service from them... last time I ordered I got my stuff delivered within 24hours... It's a nice alternative to CWC (when they are out of stock), and BuyCycle generally have good prices on SRAM (last time I saved nearly R2k on my SRAM stuffs)... I'll use BuyCycle again anyday
  19. Only if you promise to pitch up
  20. I'd rather ride my bike than drive a sp(f)ark...
  21. Strangely that's what Lance said as well
  22. I think they are chasing away the guys who just want to have some fun in a safe environment... that's m03r steep... I paid R140 for a late entry... I think I said the F word when the lady told me the entry... If I remember correctly they had just over 1,000 entries on the day - @ R100 a pop (being conservative here), that's a R100,000 just in entry fees...
  23. i would never sell my 'Dale...
  24. Ooooo I so want to do this - but then I will be dead for the Roller Coaster...
