  1. 57 if I remember correctly
  2. Haha.....very funny. If anyone is interested, I'm pretty sure the chrome Carlton is for sale, or will be at some point. Not sure what the final spec will be but there were some nice 60/70s Campy Pista hubs on it last time I saw it.
  3. Mmm....that last one is not really doing it for me
  4. LOVE this version by A Perfect Circle' date=' from their 'Emotive' album. It's a collection of covers of old anti-war songs, released just before the '04 US elections. Very cool album! [/quote'] SERIOUSLY cool album actually...next track on the album is their version of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On....bloody briliant!

  6. Hectic one on the climb to the pumpstation just outside Gordons Bay. Also, the road between Grabouw and Villiersdorp....can't remember the name of the pass. Can't think of anything else
  7. The Hoosiers - The Trick To Life album
  8. Modest Mouse - Spitting Venom
  9. There's a video somewhere on youtube. I can't remember the name of the bike so can't find it. It's intended to be hiked up a hill and then you bomb down. It's not as romantic as it sounds because you need to really like hiking to get a decent descent and if you hit any sort of hill you need to push. Could be fun but not really appealing to me.
  10. That was a Nucleon TFR G-Boxx. He has since sold it and replaced it with a DH model, the Ion ST with a standard X.O drivetrain.......and an FMXTB dirtjumper....and a Helius FR all-mountain bike....and a custom Helius AC 29er....and a Jones Spaceframe ti SS. As you can see, he is a very sick man.
  11. Doesn't look very spectacular, but this pic of a buddy of mine sums up much of my experience of riding in Canada.....stalling at the top of a very difficult line/obstacle with your balls in your throat trying to build up the courage to hit it Pretty steep, eh?
  12. Well, after turning my nose up at a few opportunities to acquire a track frame for a fixie project, I kind of stumbled across this one. I think it's the start of something special....*sigh* It's an original Carlton, handbuilt in the UK. For some history have a look at the link below. http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/ Research seems to indicate the frame dates back to somewhere between 1966-69. It still has the original chrome finish which seems to be in pretty good condition, but for a few rough patches and minor rust. Going to try and keep it as is unless it needs to be recoated/painted in order to sort out any corrossion. The decals, wheels, stem, handlebar and headset have GOT to go. Give us some time together and she will blossom
