  1. Have mentioned The Kooks before, but recently got another album of theirs called Konk....so infectious....really digging it
  2. I hate that song with a passion....what an utterly stupid song But that's just me
  3. Oooweee....just listened to Dan Patlansky for the first time....EVER
  4. Powderfinger - Head Up In The Clouds
  5. Counting Crows - August And Everything After....the album....one of my top 5 favourite albums, probably because it seems like the ramblings of a man turning himself inside out to expose his feelings I knew there was going to come a time when I'd regret not taking the trouble to go to their last concert....DOH!
  6. Bicyclists in New York repainting a bikelane removed by the Dept of Transportation
  7. Awesome song! My favourite of theirs.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpcZrhPw46M&feature=related
  8. Did I9 not start making hubs a year or two ago? I most definitely read that they had so did that change? Have heard mention that I9s are heavy on bearings, so would buying Kings with their servicable bearings not have an edge over I9 hubs, assuming I9 have started offering hubs for sale? Personally, I don't think Hopes are quite in the same league. Definitely agreed that they offer the best value for money, but i.t.o. their freewheel construction they don't have the engagement advantage or reputation for reliability that I9 and King's drive mechanisms have gathered. Have heard of quite a few failures on Hopes over the years.
  9. Enjoying the new Pearl Jam album.....favourite track at the moment is 'Got Some'
  10. Anyone listen to The Decemberists...? Giving them a first listen right now...album is The Crane Wife....on track 3 and already loving them. Track 2, titled The Island, Come And See, The Landlord's Daughter, You'll Not Feel The Drowning is a 12:39 long gem.
  11. Dave Matthews Band - Two Step....the 14min 39sec version from Listener Supported - Live. Carter Beaufort's drumming on this version is simply mezmerising, especially the closing 90 secs of the track. Mmm....I think I might've started something here, if only for myself...
  12. The Cure - Homesick
  13. I didn't say you said screw anybody. I was simply describing your attitude, which does not provide any solution other than to create the impression of someone taking offence and then leaving in a huff with a "Well screw you too".....I guess it's a little analogy I have in my head that describes your response. When someone like cradleresident comes onto the forum and starts a thread such as this and someone responds with your attitude, then I have to wonder why you'd take so much offence...? Feeling guilty perhaps...? Anyway....I'm making way too many assumptions here so no offence intended. The bottom line of my first post was simply that your attitude brings no mutually beneficial solution. But, having said that, for the good of the sport I'd rather have all the cyclists have your attitude and never go back than have a few non-cyclists think we're all law-breaking, disrespectful wankers.
  14. Blue October - You Make Me Smile
  15. You know how there are 'favorite' tunes that grab your attention for a while but after a few years they just don't do it for you anymore, eh? And then there are those great tracks that just always put a smile on your face...? Admittedly an overly 'commercial' list, but nonethless here's a few that do that for me: Closing Time - Semisonic Freshmen - Verve Pipe Sing - Travis Drinking in LA - Branvan 3000 Breakfast At Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something The Drugs Don't Work - The Verve Standing Outside A Broken Phonebooth With A Pocket Full Of Change - Primitive Radio Gods
  16. Nada Surf - Hyperspace....love the intro of this song
  17. More details please
  18. There's a guy among our group of friends....his nickname is Trevor....as in Manual I hate him....makes it look so easy MintSauce2009-10-20 02:51:56
  19. Hardly ever....How do you check the pressure...?
  20. So this explains the sale of the Peace. Fair trade....these things are awesome fun!
  21. And here, ladies and gentleman, is a prime example of every marketing execs wet dream inducing customer. Put Stander, Sauser, Absalon, Hermida et al on ANY full suspension bike and their results will likely be the same. As mentioned earlier....there really are hardly any bad bikes these days, especially in the upper segment of the market. The fact is that Specialized is prepared to fork out the most cash to have some of the best pros on their bikes. THAT is what gives the S-Works it's victories. It's all marketing. ps. I think your coffee is cold
  22. Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer - Secret World Live
