  3. What an insult...?! Real men ride steel SS! HAHA...WTF' date=' I did not post that! People have been editing posts again! That's almost as bad as hiding in the closet. Damn....guess I better take this opportunity to tell everyone that I'm gay. This is why I've been riding Giants all along. Even buying a Scandal 29er....a real bike....will not hide the fact forever. Wow....I feel so much 'lighter' now Why you.....!!! MintSauce2009-04-01 03:41:58

  6. Cool....will chat to him next week when he's back from Epic
  7. The LBS in Hermanus used to keep a Pashley in stock, but it wasn't the Guv'nor. Sold a few to some of the retired folk in this sleepy little village. Can ask him who the distributor is if you want...?
  8. Daemon....building up a nice little collection. I like. Gfishy....that bike is so flippen cool. Reminds me of one of my favorites....the Pashley Guv'nor http://www.pashley.co.uk/products/guvnor.html
  9. Well for a 3yr warranty worth it. I guess the limited service is one of the problems in buying a bike such as this with unique components. I hope the service fees are at least reasonable...?
  10. Surely it would be wise for the distributor to train another person to do the job...? Brandon...? Generally it's a pretty simple procedure. Bearing that in mind Daxiet, I suggest you do some research on the www. You are sure to find instructions somewhere. How long is your warrenty...? A year...? So 3 months left...? Screw it....do it yourself! I recently started working on my Fox Talas myself. If you search the net you get all sorts of warning that seem to imply your own personal world will collapse if you attempt to take it apart. But there was a service video on Fox's website...duh! Will be going inside my RP3 soon too. The shops just charge way too much! Plus with being able to do it yourself comes a whole world of tuning and customisation possibilities. I tried some different settings and my fork is performing better than it ever has before, even when it was brand new.
  11. Apparently many of the euro pros don't....they're still on tubes

  13. This dude wheeling is a nutter' date=' at Hell and back he was with me a group of about 4 guys and then we were going up this hill and I was on the limit and he proceeded to pull this trick again and ride away from me infront of the photographer.[/quote'] That's Hannes Neethling. He is a nutter indeed. A couple of years ago he would pitch up at Dirtopia on a Cannondale hardtail and do silly things like remove the suspension fork and fit a rigid fork for the observed trials event and then refit the suspension fork for the xc and dh races. He is a BRILLIANT bike handler and on a good weekend at Dirtopia he would place in every single discipline....XC, DH, marathon, short course xc, trials, hillclimb and dual-slalom/4X....not to forget the bicycle polo! And he's a real nice guy as well! MintSauce2009-03-24 02:44:34

  23. So, I get a call at 1:30am from my girlfriend who lives in Vredehoek informing me that the fires on Table Mountain have reached the street outside her apartment. They might get evacuated. She's on her way outside to move her car a block down as the field on the other side of the wall where her car is parked is burning. By the time she gets back up to the road the fire has jumped the wall and the grass next to where her car was parked is now burning. At 2:30am I get another call. The entire area has been evacuated. They had to leave via the back entrance of her building as there was too much smoke in front. This staircase is steep and very narrow and tricky to negotiate at night. Her and her flatmate rushed to grab a few things, laptop, some clothes, their two cats and in the middle of the night stumbled down said back staircase Outside in the street there is a fireman shouting at everyone at the top of his voice "LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS!!! EVACUATE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY!!! LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS......!!!!" As we speak she's just gotten to Claremont to a friend's house. I ask : "Did you take your bike?" (3 week old Giant Trance X) She says : "DAMN RIGHT! No way I was leaving my baby behind!"
