Like the guy, one of the few that actually tried overtaking when it was near impossible some years ago. And I seem to remember him as a fairly good driver in the wet... Maybe they were just scared of (in jest again) the repair bill if Kamui played skittles from the back of the grid into La Source!

On the waiting list for a chocolate lab, we did not want to get another black one. Well, I don't mind but it's too close to home for the girls. Kahlua is missing her buddy, though... Despite getting even more attention from us than previously! You can see she's hyper excited when I greet her at the end of the work day.

Get the Spez again! I wondered about getting something different after my Spez's gave up the ghost. Fitted a lot... makes, models and sizes... went to Spez shop, fitted the same number of the same model, looking way different now (Comp MTB, FWIW). Fit great. Went for a ride (several now) and it felt like old friends from the first pedalstroke. Nothing pressing anywhere, they just fit and felt exactly like the old pair.

Never mind, I'm IN! Will be the one walking a LOT during the run. Motivated by my W2W partner... I suspect he's secretly looking for a new partner and want me to die so he can get one without offending me...

Apparently this boytjie is seriously skilled, heard him being talked up a lot over the last while. Agreed, that is very young! Hope he has more success than his old man...

Search - any comments on the run section? It look grueling for somebody just started off running... Contemplating it but that climbing (of the run!) looks daunting.

..and then duck into the trails, that's where the real fun starts! BUT, I'd advise to take somebody familiar with the trails with the first time you attempt it to guide on which should be rideable and which will be a bit hectic. Nothing more demoralising than having to walk half the trail. Good on you both, get out there, learn and grow your abilities.

At least I can "talk about it" now... After a setback a while ago Nugget was much improved. But last couple of weeks was a real struggle, in and out of vet and everything, we could hardly get him to eat, even treats. In the end an old heart and cancer in both lungs, very bad, as well as plenty in the abdominal areas won the battle during the week. Even through all of this, he kept his smile and wag in his tail to hide his pain. At least he's now running free at the Rainbow bridge.

Add to the list Look STrack. Zero maintenance other than an occasional quick zap with Q20. And I get out of those quicker and more consistently than I ever did with any Shimano's. And a nice platform to pedal on.

Read somewhere that they're saying it is going to take years for other manufacturers to catch up to Merc's hybrid engine development/implementation. Are we back to shouting for Audi to come in? They know a thing or two about hybrid engines!

Slightly off topic, but man... I really enjoyed Rally Finland highlights last night. Unreal driving! Would love to see more manufacturers back in WRC - maybe VW showing that success can be obtained will be motivation for somebody else to enter as well.

But they are in a position to do so... I agree with it to let the drivers settle it on the track. But I wonder if they would have been doing this had they not been so dominant and in a full-blown tussle with another team or driver for the championship and every point could make a difference... and potentially holding up your team mate on a different strategy could at the end of the year hand the title to the other driver.

Friend of mine was also there, DJR. He regularly shoots Gimmie games. I rode past there earlyish in the morning, saw the floodlights because of the clouds and though he was going to have a "fun day" shooting in this light! At least it's looking better for Saturday's big game...

Not so much one for bling, but since this is going... My shoes are giving up the ghost in a serious way. Always been advised to wear Spez shoes - and they work well for my feet... but now all the Spez shoes seem to have the BOA closure systems. I've heard those wire-thingies have a tendancy to not last much longer than koekies in 'n weeshuis. Yes, I know replacements can be bought, but really... I'd prefer it to last a while! Any comments on this? Was the guy that gave that opinion just unlucky? Looking at the MTB Comp, which is the same (just many years newer!) than what I currently have.

Haha, and fortunately Kimi's not much of a talker - otherwise he'd have been on the radio for half the race. That pinball incident was classic... Just imagine if it was one of the whiners in the middle.
