Best use of a Monday in a long while 😀...the sun is out...the local cycling haunts are now overthrown with thorns and nettles ( both sting like hell 😳)...but new ways being found to ride a bike with the good vibes...

When the tiredness bug may rear is ugly head.. then you make the effort...a bike is the way...it's fun...it's ☺️...smile time.. Hardtail is nearly there...it's lively even for a bike that's 8 years old...and it was a nice afternoon for a bike ride...

that's gravel...thats a reason for a gravel bike...

Good news ...the hard tail has been reactivated ...a bit of a difference after so long on the full suss...a few tweeks needed...but it's always a good bike to raise the smile count...but lets not get too upset with dealing with mud in late May...

What a morning...stunning...a few newer " trails "..a few new little hills...and the sun was happily out. ...just a bit too early for a beer..a few fellow mtb riders out..nice and friendly..

Having a Monday off and the sun makes an appearance...we still have a bit of mud to play in... Popped into the Decathlon store ...this new range of VAN RYSEL are very impressive in the flesh...some nice clean lines and specs

...a great monday am...cool weather...sun is an optional extra which I am sure will arrive sometime.😀..but good riding weather...lovely ride...good extention on a normal route...no walkers around etc...and a lovely ride along this field..

Before the rain and after another set of stressful night shifts...bike time is very happy time...local trails are dry for the moment...embrace the bike..😀

getting my older HT from storage next month and looking forward to it...any bike is good...gravel....full suss....think about wear of bike and maintenance over a period of time...and what actually makes you smile on a bike...its about fun

A few am hours....the mud..😀..lack of bike fitness but its always always worth it...warmer conditions...and i saw a few footballers before i rode today...bike life wins

totally....40c going over day 1 to 3 terrain....you will have suffered...

they are making the experience very watchable...

the marathon riders seem to have some thing left... Nino has resigned to his position...Beers at al have rode the perfect race....

the way Beers and Grotts have waited for the race to come to them....little drama...not over pushing the barriers.....mature riding its been great seeing the coverage here in the UK...there are a few fellow Irish riders doing the event...YouTube and X coverage has been great to see...

the western cape is very special

the London and surrounding roads are awful....I have never seen so many potholes and I am Irish...irish roads are in a much better state...😀

Lovely out today....a faint glimmer of sun...the mud playing nicely...the northern hemisphere needs its spring time now 😀

back on a bike post illness etc...its always a great feeling...the antics and stories from the Cape Town tour were great and inspiring...

looking at maxxis crossmark 2 ....delivery time in April....and quoted different prices as well...have them on the bike at the moment...and cant complain at all about them...
