  11. Hi Everyone, as you know the Cape Argus Cycle race is this Sunday, and the BiBi Rouge Cycling Team will be using this opportunity to raise money for our two charities. To do this, the lovely men in our team have volunteered to be sponsored to ride the whole 106km race in pink Tutu's! To sponsor one or more of the men, you can go to the below link and choose your amount (you can sponsor them R1 or R2 per kilometer the ride or anything between R50 and R1000) and it will then allow you to pay with a credit card or EFT though a secure site where your details will not be shared or stored. Alternatively you can email us on cycleteam@sabrinakennedy.co.za for EFT details. These guys need motivation to look fabulous for the biggest cycle race in SA, so we appreciate any donation! http://www.sabrinakennedy.co.za/online-store.php#!/BiBi-Rouge-Charity-Cycle-Team-Sponsorship/p/47878940/category=12453602 The two charities we sponsor are the Lunchbox fund- giving Children in Townships a School lunch every day, and The South African Animal Welfare, specifically to aid dog fighting in townships. Please share this so that your friends and family can help too! THANKS!

  16. I am looking for a CSA Qualified (Level 1 - 3) Cycle Coach to join my business as a freelance Cycle Coach. Currently I am the Owner/ Head Trainer of Pure Athlete Performance. A company focused on Sport Specific Strength & Conditioning Training. My experience and focus lies on extreme sport athletes (Motocross, FMX, Enduro etc.), with an employee focused on Triathlete specific training. With the expansion and demand it has lead us to have a qualified cycle coach take care of the department. Ideally we are looking for a coach that has a small client base and following within the cycling community. The employment will be commission based where you will be provided with clients, personal marketing, as well as access to our online software. If you are interested in the position, please send your resume to Brandon at: info@pureathleteperformance.com
  17. I've been riding for going on 8 yrs right now. I've serviced my bike at many different shops, but most recently I've been using Linden Cycles. Their services have always been great and I can't really complain. Normally when I query things, they are happy to fix it without question and the quality of their workmanship has been fine. They are however a bit out of the way for me AND with them being SO popular, you sometimes need to book like 14 days in advance. This is a bit of a problem if you just quickly want some running repairs done. I then decided to try a shop up the road from me - CycloWorx (Petervale Shopping centre). I was pretty surprised with their approach and it goes a little something like this (sounds I need a soundtrack here): - They don't have a flat rate for a service, they simply charge you PER ITEM that they do. - They also don't carry out ANY WORK until you've given them the go ahead on each item. - They FIRST quote and await your approval. This approach is pretty cool as I have in the past been in a situation where a 500 service turns into a 2000 service, granted we do discuss it, but I don't get a line by line quote before work is completed. I get a brief phone call where I need to make a call there and then without being able to digest it. In any event, I'm picking up the bike today and doing a training ride this arvy. Will reply to this post with how the bike is going (hope it doesn't fall apart, rofl).
