SO, I had to send my "new" carbon frame (thanks Scultura Rider) to Wayne Pfeiffer Cycles in PE for a rebuild from my old Merida Road 901.

This is the old bike

I am not too sure about the new saddle yet  It grinds my butt bones, but no numbnuts

The old saddle was more comfy on the but, but numbnuts did happen

The cycle shop reckons there is still a few thousand k's left on the groupset, so I opted not to change it yet. My ride this morning was on very tired legs, but I still had the same aveage speed. The I was slower on the flat sections, but climbing was definitely better.

I am happy!!!

Congrats DaLoCo! Have a fantastic time on the new bike, and may all sorts of good results happen! (I think the new saddle definitely looks better - the bum bones will have to adjust.)

Congrats man, many safe & fast miles on her.

Use the "holy" saddle, numbnuts are no good.

Then as a suggestion, PM Edge_Design and asking for a set of white bottle cages, IMO they'll look better than the wire ones.

Otherwise, give it horns !!!!

Yeah, I did reckon I need something that looks a little better. Thanks for the info

Thanks Le Turbo...

I reckon black ones would look even better - slightly more understated.

Nice bike, though

Schweet looking ride man!

Get a Fizik Arione - my selle italia was giving me saddle sores. Got an Arione and no more issues :D

Thanks

I will look at that when I do another upgrade. My old saddle was actually not too bad, but I know the new one will be better, but it will take a few rides for my butt to get used to it.

Nice looking bike hope you have a long full filling relationship

That is the plan  Thanks

Yeah Baby  . That is looking great DaLoCo, love it buddy!!!

Trust em, the saddle might take some getting used to. I rode it for 8 odd months and it took me a solid 2 just to get used to the saddle. Very racy, but pretty hard on the bum bones

Really glad that you are happy with the ride, really glad, makes me happy knowing that she went to a good home  . Will be seeing you next Saturday then for a 'Leg Loosener" before the BIG funride!

DaLoCo, I wish you MANY MANY happy miles with your new steed, may she treat you with great results and faster times

I-FELT-the-FORCE....Nice new nick   Can't wait for the leg loosener....I love riding in new areas

The saddle as a whole feels good, but yeah, it did feel a bit harsh on the bones, but not disastrous  I must add that I felt a lot more pain when I got on my bike in January after a 9 month layoff  I am sure the bum bones will adapt. I did like the fact that there was no numbbuts....

That was the one thing the Prologo did not give me....it just the position of my butt bones, or the fact that I have never had pressure on the specific area of my butt (weight was born by the numbnuts area) :o

Looks great! May you have many wonderful and safe miles!

About the saddle, I recommend a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbono Flow. Very comfy and no numbnuts.

After three rides on the bike, my butt and the saddle reached a truce

And my first ride in anger has seen an increase of almost 2 km/h on my route average
