Mariske Strauss was the ladies winner in a time of 2hrs25. There are a few errors in the top 20 results on racetec.

Errors or undeclared shortcuts?

Theres no chance, Im sorry, comming in ahead of Adriaan Louw, Geddan ruddock, Petrus Malherbe as a "noboddy"/ stranger.

Sorry, they should heve checked that, In fact Im sure If you asked her she wouldnt even pretend, Its probably just lack of interest from the timing / organisers.

It happens

Many years ago I did the Monster and my HeadShok packed in.I decided to bail and finished with the short distance. When I got to the finish I tried to climb over the side to avoid the finish and the chic had a fit and told me to finish thru the shute.I explained and she said they would correct it.I never bothered to see if they did

im so tired of racetec... there is very little credibility to their results and times... so stupid really. imo - maybe that is why the can only do funrides.

they are pretty fast with the results but no one check the results before it gets published (or it seems that way)

It's not racetec's fault - they provide an automated timing system and it is up to the event organisers to monitor the route and the finishing chute. When I had a problem on the Wellington Gravel Travel, the marshals had been instructed to remove the bike board of anybody taking shortcuts or retiring. Alternatively they need to put timing mats on the route but I'm not sure what the implications are surrounding that.

well lets ask the organisers to take the double time postings then out in the future.
