which diameter do you want? inside diameter, outer diameter?

off the Alex rim i have here, inside diameter is approximately 540mm

Nuthin' to do with the rim diameter..............its the outer measurement of the tyre! Easy to measure radius or circumference.

Mine set at 2085......... you might have to reduce slightly as I'm running 2.2 GEAX which are pretty big and fat ! Check even ere tyre pressure is going to make a difference !

your tire has a marking as such (559 - 52)

thats your bead diameter - tire height

bead dia + ( 2 x tire height) = tire outside diameter. (O.D)

O.D x 3.142(pi)= Circumference

easy ..

Mark tyre and position on ground...push bike till wheel goes through one full revolution and mark ground where mark on tyre reaches the ground again. Measure the distance between the two marks. Remember to put some weight on the wheel to deform same as riding. Remember even a millimeter is going to make a BIG difference in the final output !!
