'Dale Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Let's have some criteria for the best road race: MOST SCENIC: Argus, Knysna (any other contenders in other parts of the country MOST FAMOUS: Argus TOUGHEST FINISH: 99er, Durbanville - final 10 kms all climbing.Or, possibly, the Cape Cobra, a close 2nd. Now, if we talk MTB:That is beyond the scope of my experience.

Can't do it this year baby will only be 3 weeks old. Checked the link and it looks awesome.

jayz Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 A lot of you guys have not ridden Kzn I see. Karklook classic is one of the best. Hills forests, views over Albert falls dam and midlands. You forget the concrete jungle when u ride these trails. Not to forget those large trucks blowing their carbon up your nostrils and into your lungs. Argus has good scenery etc but really cant compare to the likes of Sani to c etc.

janneman72 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Got lost with about 120 other cyclists on the Shova because the cops/marshals decided to go for a wee or something and did an additional 21km with one hell of climb for nothing. Was apparently in the local news paper so Shova is last on my list. Argus, Jacaranda, R4S and Berge and Dale was nice though.
