Alonso can't even go and ride a bicycle because his teams application was late and thus declined!!!

On Vettel again, I have been a fan for many years, since his Toro Rosso days so I am slightly biased.

While Ricciardo is riding brilliantly I still cannot see how Vettel would have had such a dramatic decline in performance. I think the amount of changes, new chassis, etc indicates that he has just not gelled with this years car, this combined with the poor performance delivered by the Renault engine.

I think next year will see big changes. I still hope and pray that Vettel will end up in the McHonda, it is still a strong possibility.

Whether Alonso is his teammate I'm really not bothered!!

I hope Vettel ends up at Ferrari. And then if Kimi Raikonen beats him, well then we can all agree he sucks.

On a more serious note, with the engine freeze rule, Merc will still dominate next year, the only team who could possibly challenge them is McHonda. If they bring a engine that can match the Horsepower of the Merc engine.

50% allowed to be changed, but not enough of the architecture to make a big enough difference ( I think).

Rumors running around Honda is 3 months behind schedule + Renault reckon their planned updates will only be up and running by Jul 2015...so yeah...another Merc year!

Another rumor that keeps surfacing saying Honda & McLaren will have a test mule up and running soon that will be able to do some track testing and there's also a chance they will be able to test the Honda engine at the Abu Dhabi test end of the year.

Not only do THEY desperately need it, but so do WE. Hamilton will be stupid to vacate his seat any time soon, especially with Merc saying they've moved all focus and development to their 2015 car 2 months ago. !

Absolutely, thats why realisticly, only Honda can challenge. I am sure Honda wont put all their cards on the table at this stage. As for Renault and Ferrari, cant see them coming close to Merc.

I think the only thing that we can agree upon is to disagree, but that's what makes life so interesting.

Everybody is entitled their own opinion.

For the record this is not my page but makes for some hilarious reading:

Geez, those okes are rof hey. And I thought you lot didnt like Lewis. I especially liked the one where they want Lewis to build a 49 point lead, only to crash and burn in the last race, and Nico wins the title.

Have to say I agree with that. Except for the burn part.

Prost's record vs team mates, other than his first year in F1, only once did his team mate score more points in a season and that was Lauda by half a point (that half due to Prost's win at Monaco being awarded half points as was stopped early due to rain).

<snip>c

As a matter of interest, came across this article yesterday, remembering the occasion since it happens to have been exactly 30 years ago!

Ja, lots of interesting theories about that race. But I loved that era...

Good to see Hulk is being retained by Force India. Why those guys can't maintain performance through a season will be a mystery. Year on year they start well and then fade.

I think it's just because they don't have the same budget as the other guys for in season upgrades. So they start well, but then lag behind when others innovate.

So where will Alonso be in 2015?

At this stage there appear to be two options..

1. Mclaren Honda

2. On his yacht
