IMO it's a good idea, in principle. But the 90 sec cutoff is too short, and doesn't allow teams to refuel or plan properly if they all of a sudden find themselves in the dropzone. Now I am a big Alonso fan, I even like Lewis, dislike Vettel a lot, Kimi is okay. Today I was cheering anything without a Mercedes badge, just to make it interesting. Drivers saying "we told you" even some team bosses saying they warned FIA about Q3 and proposed a "hybrid" format with Q3 staying as it was. Read some comments and quite a few saying lets go Q1 and Q2 new format and Q3 as it was before. Let's see, they want it changed by next round. The race? Fortunately, it seems that they've already unanimously (there's a new word for F1!) agreed to scrap it and revert to the old qualifying system as of next race. Qualifying was poor to watch, now the red flag for 20 mins where everyone has tea whilst they sweep the track. Keep it, I will enjoy the Moto GP tonight. Should have taken the opportunity to go on the Mediums like the rest of the field. The race pace of the Ferraris is certainly up there, and the HAAS team really did well in their first outing...
