...and on a lighter note, with not much action in a wet FP1.

Qualifying.......Well that was a flop watching cars sit in the pits instead of on the track

They should drop the 90 second thing and just drop the slowest 7 AFTER each qualifying session

That's how it was last year.

IMO it's a good idea, in principle. But the 90 sec cutoff is too short, and doesn't allow teams to refuel or plan properly if they all of a sudden find themselves in the dropzone.

I reckon raising it to 180 sec would be better. That allows a full outlap and race-pace lap.

Personally though, I want to see a return to the original structure. 15 min / 30 min session. Fastest person at the end gets it. That's it. Would also work well for settings testing and so on.

YAAAAAWN

Oh yes, 200% agreed.  After the first lap Lewis Hamilton did I knew allready. Season over. Now I am a big Alonso fan, I even like Lewis, dislike Vettel a lot, Kimi is okay. Today I was cheering anything without a Mercedes badge, just to make it interesting.

So Lewis is going to cruise to another title this year, Rosberg is totally useless as expected and wont mount any challenge.

YAAAAAAAAWN x 1000000000.

Team bosses already met and are in agreement that quali must change. Drivers saying "we told you" even some team bosses saying they warned FIA about Q3 and proposed a "hybrid" format with Q3 staying as it was.

Read some comments and quite a few saying lets go Q1 and Q2 new format and Q3 as it was before.

Let's see, they want it changed by next round.

The race? Hopefully Vettel can make a great get away and get in front or the tyre and radio rule changes are a success.

Can't remember my exact words, but I predicted exactly this for qualifying. Fortunately, it seems that they've already unanimously (there's a new word for F1!) agreed to scrap it and revert to the old qualifying system as of next race.

BRILLIANT start from Vettel & Raikonnen!

Also - stupendous smash from Guitierrez & Alonso. Relieved that Alonso is unscathed, considering the size of the smash.

HAHAHAHamilton, again, complaining that he can't get past... Shame.

Decided to give F1 a chance again after the last few seasons were hopeless at captivating me. Qualifying was poor to watch, now the red flag for 20 mins where everyone has tea whilst they sweep the track.

Keep it, I will enjoy the Moto GP tonight.

Stupid, STUPID decision to go with the Supersofts again after teh red flag. Should have taken the opportunity to go on the Mediums like the rest of the field. The race pace of the Ferraris is certainly up there, and the HAAS team really did well in their first outing...

Best race in the last 3 years, I'd say.
