Updated to Firefox 4 this afternoon - at the install, message popped up telling me that my Garmin Communicator plugin/add-on(?) was incompatible with the next Firefox version, and was being disabled...

Which might, or might not, mean anything... Will pop something up when I try and upload my rides - and see if it works...

I'm running Firefox 4 on Windows Vista and I can upload activities.

Sport track good but not web-based... still prefer GC as can use on any laptops..

For the maps, download Gfix for Chrome or another extension for Firefox, then will be able to see the map in google map.

Why do you need a web based program? Other than wasting bandwith and knowing you have a online backup somewhere. The only thing I like about Garmin Connect is the Player, where it kind of lets you re-live the workout. Even with plugins and Gfix that is the one area where Bing is still displayed and that sucks cause that is the only thing I like! :(

As I said " Garmin's software lacks creativity, functionality and logic"

Can GC display all this info on one page - Nope

Can you track your equipment on GC - Nope

Can you customize your reports - Not in as much detail as in ST - Nope

Plugins for GC - Nope

started using Garmin connect this week, been fortunate, no probs thus far. Had a look at Sportstrack, at R 35$, suppose its not too much if it works this well? R 250 or something?

Reading all of this it seems it will be money well spent?

what does it offer in addition to all that GC offers?

What are the better plugins to use ?

I see that your "trial" version allows you multiple pieces of equipment as opposed to the normal 2. Must be a special version. ;)

It is a special version!

I have been using version 2.1 for a long time and have not changed over to Trial 3 exactly because of the limitations on equipment... but then a light came on and I found a way around it  I have 13 separate pieces of equipment I am tracking, 2 just didnt cut it!

I think you are limited to 2 plugins on the trial version also.. working on that!

Elevation correction is one I use, a lot of the plugins that worked with version 2.1 were free but you have to buy them now.

Although there are a lot of free plugins but they are a bit useless if you are on the trial version cause you can only install 2.

I installed multiple plugins in the version 3 trial, however I could have only 2 activated at a time. I paid for it though, so now I do not have to juggle that anymore

I used to use ST 2 a loooooong time ago and then discovered MyTourBook which is a open source sports tracking software for Linux.

But recently I purchased a netbook that has Win7 Home Premium on and I ain't too happy with GTC or GC, so it looks like its back to ST for me.
