Gataga Posted March 29, 2011 Share And if you have a GPS only, like Edge 500? Can you track live from the unit?
Slowbee Posted March 29, 2011 Share And if you have a GPS only, like Edge 500? Can you track live from the unit? i dont think so - since you need to send that data somewhere to be seen on a map. and the edge does not do that.
Tankman Posted March 29, 2011 Share And if you have a GPS only, like Edge 500? Can you track live from the unit? Nope, that is a receiver only not a transmitter. It can not send the gps co-ordinates out to anywhere else or connect to the net.Dont know why Garmin hasnt thought of that yet
Tankman Posted March 29, 2011 Share Dont know why Garmin hasnt thought of that yet Probably because they are to busy trying to fix their websites and replace stuff that works with stupid stuff like Bing

niklasvm Posted March 29, 2011 Share so for guys with slow in their nickname's we are looking at what, about 10hrs ? i would say I was slow. It was the hardest MTB race I've ever done. The winner finished 90 min before me.
niklasvm Posted March 29, 2011 Share while using the live tracking? Tankman Posted March 29, 2011 Share slightly different then, your phone would not need to update map as often as the gps co-ordinates are sent out. SportyPal offers a nice alternative - you can complete your workout and then upload it to the web so you only connect once.I like SportyPal website and maps more than Endomondo's
RodTi Posted March 29, 2011 Share Updated to Firefox 4 this afternoon - at the install, message popped up telling me that my Garmin Communicator plugin/add-on(?) was incompatible with the next Firefox version, and was being disabled... Which might, or might not, mean anything... Will pop something up when I try and upload my rides - and see if it works...
