Meh. Cajees will take you for a ride if you let them. I figure using them is the same as grocery shopping. I go there for the deals. Maybe I'm just lucky that I know enough about what I want so I can navigate a store like that successfully.

I like Cajees and all the cagey bike shops. They never expect a tall, grey balding Omie with a boep to be a cyclist. I luv the confusion in their eyes when they realise I know more than them.

Nice to live in a small town. Have 2 lbs's, one ok, one good, little choice. Have to drive 40 klicks to find a really bad lbs!

Cajees are good for buying stuff like clothes, shoes. At least they have more selection than ,the Lbs racing uniform. And they actually keep stock in the shop. For servicing DIY or LBS

I only trust Finish Line & Summit Cycles. Rest all on black list. Simple!

I treat them badly, give them a messed up bike, want it done tomorrow and for free ...

They respond by taking their time and giving me no discount :-) ... but when I have an emergency they make a plan to help out and most importantly give me back a proper working bike which is all I want ... so I'm happy to do the 200km round trip!

Cycleing rule number one, never pay someone to turn bolts. Learn to look after your own bike. Get some basic tools and you can do most things yourself. Be sure for yourself that things are done properly.. My two cents worth.

I want to thank all of the bike shops that I've been into - in Jozi, Durban and Cape Town. You guys forced me to learn how to fix my own bikes! I've enjoyed buying stuff from two or three shops, but when it comes to service...

That doesn't take much. One of their salesmen once presented me with a range of road shoes after I asked him for MTB ones. He really didn't know the difference...

I've made some mistakes that have cost me - but in the long run, it's the only way...
