On my last few grains of Fast Fuel- Sports Fuel :( and have been struggling to find stock anywhere. Apparently they are not producing anymore?? Now have to find a new product- got a sachet of 32GI to try...really liked the fast fuel though!!

I've used it for the past few years. I spoke to the lady at their JHB office on Friday and according to her they are shutting the brand down but they are clearing their stock at hugely discounted prices. Only problem is that the bars expire in June and I am not sure what the exp date of the rest of the goods are. I will be stocking up on plenty of Rocket gels and hoping that they last until well into next season. The other gels on the market don't come close wrt price and effectiveness.

I'm using it after my stock of dridex dried up (that home-made brew of fructose, maltodextrin and salt). Works fine for me and is good value for money.

Duncan Safari makes a fruit bar - both date/apricot or a Berry one. Half the size but about R5 each, very similiar I buy boxes of 25 at the supermarket, eat them all hte time for riding or snacking

32GI is a different aproach to re fueling lo GI style. If you're not into that you can pretty much use any simple carb drink and it will do the job. For my training rides less than 3 hrs i just use USN carbo sport. Its a mix of complex and simple carbs, costs only about R85 or something from cyclelab and the tub lasts forever (now you no how much i dont train  )
