Smells of pure spam to me. Regardless of how good the lube is, i wont order in principle. Buy an ad and I may just click on it though.

I thought the hub was a website for cyclists, to inform them of new products, reviews, races, good products etc. If you did not like the google feature and did not want to read the review, click on the little cross at the top right of your browser.

The idea was not to spam anyone (you voluntarily clicked on the link) it was just to make people aware that there are actually a lot of reviews available on the Internet and they are worth a read if you want to locate the best products available.

Nobody forced you to read, or buy or click anywhere.

PS. I am a paying advertiser on the Hub and have given away numerous free samples to open minded hubbers that want to experience quality for themselves. And have received great feedback from them, as well as a few ordering customers...

Likewise, no one is forcing us to buy your product. You play a risky game here by enticing people to the thread with the vague title. On opening the thread, it's not the latest bling 120g pedals or something else exciting, but a product that has been around the block already. uh mean you already have a few ordering customers, let us know when you can count them on the second hand.

but hey, the whole point of your lube and marketing is to be edgy and push boundaries. it's risky from the start, don't know why you were surprised at the response.

I voluntarily click the send and recieve button on my mail program and some of the stuff that ends up there I don't really want to read either. That is called spam! If you are a paying advertiser rather stick to the banners or what ever you pay for. This is SPAM!

I thought it was a pretty cunning approach; a convincing way to get you to read the reviews while also introducing you to a useful website that, frankly, ought to be used more often on the Hub. If you were using an ad agency, you'd pay big bucks for that idea. You're just being a grouchy bunch on a Tuesday afternoon, because you haven't ridden since Sunday. Either that, or you've just hit your Coke hangover. Go have a line and cheer up.

Lets just say its about forty/forty-five customers. Changed the title, so everyone should be happy now..

I come from the paragliding world. We also have forums where people would rather be than work.

The difference is that NO commerical activities are tollerated unless it specifically says ADVERTISEMENT (actually Adv) in the topic line. If not the person will get flamed big time.

It is a system that works great.
