I have spoken to quite a number of guys regarding knee surgeries etc...

My brother ended up having an op and it was very very successful, I will find the surgeons name for you.

Second thing, there is a doctor in Parys who does a technique called prolotherapy.

I have met two people randomly in Parys, both hectic sportsmen who swear by his method. Its completely non invasive, I thought at first all he did was inject cortisone into the knee but he really doesnt. It supposedly stimulates tendon healing (yes healing of the actual tendons). He has sorted out two of SA's top squash players who are playing aggressively again apparantly.

Not saying it definitely works but maybe worth a chat with the guy and if you think it sounds right trying the therapy before resorting to knee ops which are very hectic indeed?

That Prolotherapy looks interesting. Thanks for the link. I may as well give it a go. I am not to keen on the ITB surgery.

Most of the surgeons listed here are brilliant...

Ponky, Vikesh, Vardi, Spike, Furgeson.

These surgeons very often assist each other, so they are very similar.

Their techniques are very similar (depending in what needs to be done)... There is a bit of differnce in techniques and approaches between the Joburg vs CT/Dbn guys for stuff like ACL recons.
