If there has been a previous thread on this a link would be great, can't find it with search.

What I do is I stick isolation tape on the place (stem or bar)(BEFORE) I stick those stickers

Isolation tape peels off easily with that sticky Argus sticker sticked to it...

Try it next year.

Now you can use deodorant and a soft cloth.

There nothing so ugly to me that a half peeled off Argust sticker on a stem or bar :P

WTF is "isolation" tape? Just buy more tape, put all your new tape in the packet with the isolated tape, and viola, your tape's problems are over.

I would avoid using any stickers on your bike.

Most glues are chlorine based and that is not a friendly chemical

Masking tape is the worst

mmmmm you have me with this one

Isolation tape is that tape they use with electrical wires (to isolate it). Same as the tape at the end of your bar tape next to the stem :whistling:

Oh, to remove the glue residue, use acetone. If you doubt me, pm, johan boringman.

NO, No, No!!! Ambush!

No Acetone! >>> CARBON, RESIN, CLEARCOAT!!!

Dude, just use a bit of hand cream and a soft cloth, and a dash of elbow grease.

Put that acetone away. If you use ANY chemical on your bike it should be IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and nothing else.

Seriously, JB soaked a carbon fibre fishing pole in acetone for like a month. And then went and caught jaws with it.

(oh, and the hand cream, and the cloth, it's glue, not personal, one man sexy-time...)

Spray some "doom" or any kind of insect killing spray on it. Leave it for anout 1 minute. This awlays does the trick on store labels / stickers. Not sure of the effect on the carbon????

Use it or loose it!
