Those teams like Vodacom and Club 100 that start at the same time or a similar time are of completely different abilities.

 

 

 

And if it keeps the sponsors happy then let their teams start wherever they want. I really can't see them helping each other to get podium places. If that is the case then there's reason to moan.

 

 

 

But they've put up hundreds of thousands of Rands for this event and without them we'd have no event so let them have there money's worth.

Our Social team start just in front of us. Last year was quite fair I think, they worked it out according to ppl's seeding with in a group, now, now I don't have any idea how it was done. If we knew what the requirements was used to start earlier, maybe we could also do something about it, if it was bitching I'm pretty sure me and Pops teams would have started first but since we did not know the requirements we could not par take which I think is unfair

Maruis, Its got nothing to do with how they orginize something (like the poepol c-only) is arguing.

 

 

 

Its about allowing cyclist to phone into PPA offices and asking favours.

 

 

 

And yes, I spoke personally to people who phoned requesting to start earlier.

 

 

 

So, campyonly (ppa fanclub) , it got nothing to do with the system they use, it the "freebies" they allow.

popeye - when you grow up and realise there is a real world out there let us know.

 

Yes maybe certain teams were given a "better" start time but does it really matter in the bigger picture - especially given the fact that they are probably the people putting the money i so the event can take place???

 

The only certainty with an event such as this is that someone will be unhappy with their start time - regardless of how you arrange them

Pops, don't worry, those guys getting "special" treatment will get fedup with other teams passing them constantly. Next year they'll ask to start near the back! I'm so glad we are only sarting late, gives us a LOT of Carrots to chase down!

YES IT DOES MATTER, cause we asked to start early and they ignored us-I ahve a valid flipn reason aswell, I have to be back in CT and at our MX year end Prizegiving at 4:30pm and we the 2nd last team to start at 6:59.

 

SO yes CAMPY it does matter ALOT and every team put money into this event for it to take place. If it were only some then we would be racing for free wouldnt we???

I'm with you colonel. Not all the teams got "sponserships". We have to pay our own

You know what also made me buts is that I tried to get my broken-miss-aligned family consisting of my mother and brother and his wife to do something together and watch me ride (Yes this is getting emotional) and they actually agreed to do it and now if I start so late I cant make it not only pissing my team off but it will piss my family off aswell and it will piss Mrs Colonel off cause I spent R800 on kit alone fo rthe event.
