AAARGH! Spectrum Sport, don't put a link on your website to an 'empty' results PDF, PLEASE!

 

Why can't you just put "Results not available yet" on your website, so that I don't click on that damn link a thousand times to see if the results are available yet.

 

I'm sure the people who helped me click that 794 clicks will agree.

Come down to CT - Racetec will time an event and their results are up that evening already (or at least the next day for late finishing events) :thumbup: :thumbup:

SS r the same. Results up that evening or latest the following day. I find them very efficient. They might put their links up a bit early but its not a train smash!

I agree they are very efficient. This has been the longest that I have waited for results from them, and it was only one full day. I have normally found they have the results up on the same day.

 

I find it frustrating that their link to the results PDF is either broken, or they only put the 'Results not available' in the PDF.

 

Put it one level higher (on the site) and people don't have to download an empty PDF 700 times before you know wether the results are out. Its just common decency and good practice to say the least.

 

I have been in web dev for many years. User consideration should be very high priority.

Why don't u be constructive and email your suggestions and frustrations to them. Try help them improve their site instead of slamming it.

 

Because most companies don't give a f&&& about private emails and complaints. They only respond to public criticism very quickly.

 

I agree with you zaShadow, it is always frustating when people don't test their links or consider the webpage user. There really is no excuse for this sloppiness.

I know Racetec do. The only ones I have come across who act that way are ChampionChip who really do not give a toss.

My eperience on 3 queries has been that I mail them, then go for a dump and when I am finished Gertjie has replied.

They are very good!
