Hi all

Anyone out there running a Shova with a 150mm travel fork and if so how have you found this?

I currently have a 140mm on there, but look to be getting a 150mm travel fork.

Regards

H

Don't be Banna's man .... is my XC and do it all bike :)

I currently have a 140mm Fox Float 32R fork on there and can secure a 120-150mm U-Turn Revelation that I am rather keen on

Got 160 on mine . Done a few XC races , Sani2C , Desert Dash and whatever else with it . If weight is a problem for you then don't do it , but if you wanna enjoy your ride do it .

You recon the Revelation at 150mm will not be up to the task ... she has the power bulges and a good bit of settings the old 140mm fox fork with just rebound adjust I currently have on there.

Just pulling your chain. :D I actually have a Revelation on my Intense Tracer and it's a great fork, especially with the 20mm through axle. For more of a XC ride it's a better buy than the 160mm. But for AM riding the 160mm will obviously be a bit stiffer. I am actually replacing my Revelation for a 160mm Fox Float, but simply because I wanna start doing bigger jumps.

Hairy I've got a 140mm Revelation on my Heckler and it's plenty, you can't go wrong with that 150mm fork you won't regret it!

Hairy, I have a mate who has a 150 Talas and DHX air upgrade (DHX Air is my ultimate upgrade to my Shova) on his Shova 2010 and swears by it! Also with the slightly longer stroke of the DHX it partners up nicely with the 150 fork. If you keep running the RP23 you may have to bump up the pressue 10PSI or so as the bike weight will be rear biased.

I recon its a well good idea, 150 Revelation here YOU come....

Howzit Hairy,

I have the 150mm Revelation RLT on my Shova. It's light, plush and seems to have endless travel. Do it. If you are still unsure come take my bike for a spin and convince yourself. I am in Skelmboch area.

Hey Hairy, a 150mm RVL will be perfect, yes, it will slacken the head angle slightly over your current 140mm setup, and raise the BB height by a smidgeon, but it won't adversely effect the overall ride of the bike. My vote: go for it!

Was on the Shova for about 6 months but then went back to the RP23 . Really don't do the serious stuff that the shock demands . Lying somewhere in the cycle room under some dust . I am sure I placed an add with photo's on here many moons ago .

I've got a 150mm Revelation with 20mm thru axle on my Shova ST. It's the Team model 120-150 U-turn. Always running it at 150mm though. Awesome fork, such a HUGE upgrade from the marzocchi I had. Slackens the head angle a little bit, but I'm all for that.

Three words Hairy:

"Go for it!!!!"
