DavidE373 Posted June 14, 2011 Share That's interesting to hear. I've been looking at running in Five Fingers too. Do you run trails in them? I see they have just come out with a version that has more tread. I did my first trail run in them at Groenkloof about two weeks ago, did ok for the first 8kms. I was in my Bikilas but my feet took a pounding. Next trail run will be done in the KSO Trek Sports, which are more for off road running, they have a thicker rubber lining. flex Posted June 14, 2011 Share Seems a bit late, considering you've bought already, but for what its worth, Inov-8 shoes are quite simply phenomenal. I'm now using their road and trail shoes and have never been more comfortable in a running shoe. Highly recommended.
bontie Posted June 14, 2011 Share Also my weapons of choice... U need to find something that also suits the kind of terrain you will be running on - trail shoes dont do so well on the road! The right shoe is also going to save you a lot in the long run - cheap shoes = many physio appointments. Like a good bike setup, shoes are even more important due to the pounding on your knees from the impact. My wepons of choice too , but I run Asics offroad too! Gel Trabuco - like the Kayano's I wear on the road, just funkier colours and a bit beefier. Anima Sano In Corpore Sano. I doubt I'll ever wear other running shoes... Wyatt Earp Posted June 14, 2011 Share I have the 195, as good as they are , there is no substitute for that natural feel you get from the Vibram's.Can't wait for the Komodo's in September.
