They be Mountain Kings 2.4, the guys at Linden talked me into them and I am so glad they did! they are awesome and have so much grip!

good job on listening t them!

I have a Mountain King II 2.4 tubeless and a X-king 2.4 tubeless that can't wait to jump onto my bike as soon as I'm allowed to ride again.

They are tough as nails! also grabbing some rubber queens. I actually wanted them originally but no stock at Linden when I had the bike built up.

Yeah, the rubber queens are brutes!

When my Nokian on the rear gave up the ghost I replaced it with a MTN King 2.4. I reckon i lost about 30% of rear grip.

I went with the X-king back because I want lower rolling resistance and in a way... less grip.

Sometimes too much grip at the back isn't nice. The Big Betties on my DH bike are insanely grippy, and I was finding that it was pretty tricky to get the back out when you want it to slide around. Even with brakes.

I hear ya.

I've adapted to them now but I got used to having a ton of grip in very loose stuff at the rear. Like going along and down the off camber Emmerentia tree line - especially that downhill bit which branches off from the top and becomes a fast right hander with an interesting exit.

you mean the one with that loose dust of rooty section where the line starts pushing you straight towards a tree on the left. If that's the same one, then we do a little bit of bike rodeo over there. We take it fast and let the back jump out to corner it speedway style while the roots have the bike jumping around like an angry bull. Good fun... until someone hits that tree

That's the one. :D

The Nokian was awesome through there and I expected the same from the Mtn King which didn't happen - was umm interesting.

My new intense have been with me now since Thursday... but will only post the pics, when I get my rear wheel back.

Need to covert my Nukeproof BMX type hub to fit the frame. They machining the axle smaller, don't know if its been done before, but I scheme it will work?? anyone know.

Been riding with another rear wheel so long. Have to say it descends like a beast!!! This is my first real Full sus, only used to ride street/urban type hardtails.. .shouldve changed over a long time ago, MUCH more fun... Now I want a DH rig aswell

My new 6.6 should be built up by the end of the week. I'll post pics when it's done

what are your plans for the plastic bike? keeping it?

Well, once everything is built over onto the Intense I'll make a call on which frame I prefer the feel of. The other will go up for sale

I have developed add when it comes to not locking my brakes on technical sections. It Grates me when I see guys locking their rear brakes and just sldiing down a section which should be rolled down. It just destroys the line and creates erosion. I know, chill and take a deep breath. Just one of those things though.
