Rofl! That's exactly what I told Deon to do the other day!

It's actually quite clever if I say so myself. It's got 2 cable ties to allow side to side movement for shifting like the bionicon. Hence the 6 cable ties. Version 1 just had 2 cable ties mounting it to the chainstay.

Yeah, got it. Simple, cheap and effective.

Yeah. Problem is I accidentally tripped into Action Cycling this morning and I've bought an MRP dual guide, new deralieur and shifter. Dammit.

Think Richard will be healed up by Dec..?

Sorry I know these aren't All Mountain bikes, do All Mountain trails count?

..and some people think that speaking on behalf of cyclists and negotiations with landowners will get us nowhere. Pah! #goodtimescoming

Cane Creek 40's are good. But be careful, they are often sold as 2 seperate parts (upper and lower), and I have a feeling that in this case, what is advertised is only the lower cups.

There are many different cup sizes, all dependent on the internal diameter of the headtube. Based on the Intense frame which 2Nutz bought, and his headset questions, a 44mm cup may be too big for your 5.5

Another thing to keep in mind is your future fork. You mentiond that you would like a Fox. Most Fox forks these days are tapered. Even if your frame does not have a tapered head tube, you may (depending on diameter) be able to fit a tapered fork with the correct headset.

So it may be worth holding off a bit on the headset for now.

I'm selling a 1&1/8th Cane Creek 40 headset.

Just putting it out there ;)

Yup. It's already exploded. It goes up and down still tho. Well I have to pull it up. When it expires completely I'll replace it with a KS.

I'm also gonna change the gearing a little. I've put a 34-11 cluster on the back so I'm gonna go 26,36 on the front.

Some more pics. I've changed the gearing a little since these pics were taken. I'm running a 26 as my granny and a 38 as my big ring now. so it looks a little less retareded than these pics and the gearing makes a little more sense to me.

Oh I've also tubelessed the rims. I didn't do the ghetto thing. I spent the money and went for a Stans kit. Money well spent in my opinion cos it took all of 10 minutes to do. The bit that took the most time was driving to the garage to inflate them.
