Aero GSA Posted July 8, 2011 Share Got back into custom helmet painting after a few years off. These are our TLD D2 helmets that I painted. The blue / white helmet was a D2 Carbon to which I retained the carbon on the dark areas of the helmet.Turn around time is around 2 weeks for a full painted helmet. Everything is painted in (except for name and helmet logos) and covered with thick layers of clear for a final finish that looks and feels like a lightbulb. Well, if a visor rivet falls off or original paint flakes then it will not be covered. Don't these helmet also carry the 3 year replacement guarantees?
