awesme Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 hi all Now that I've discovered the nice tracking capabilities on the Garmin Edge 500 what software do you use on the iPhone 4,Not that I'll be using my phone on rides, just want to be able to drive a route and have a visual line drawing/log of what/where i drove. G

Choppie Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I just went to itunes on my iphone and searched for strava. Found it immediately and installed. Did a quick test but dont know how to download track yet.

Skidmark Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Do you have to have the app running the whole time while you ride and how does it affect phone battery life i.e. if you do a loooong ride and need to call home for help after 5 hours? can't speak for all phones, but I have the iphone4 and i did a 3 hour ride on sunday with my battery at around 40%... came back around 2pm.. can't remember exactly how much was left, but i still went out that evening etc and only charged my phone when i went to bed... So guess it doesn't sap too much.
