Had a 29er crossmark on my rear and a racing ralph on the front. I had about 10 punctures on the rear and one on the front. When I had an aspen on the rear I had no punctures. Maybe the 29er UST crossmark is better with punctures, but it weighs like 850g.

I used the Aspen on my 29er, converted it to tubeless.....my first ride out in the mountain I got a front puncture....tire dont seem to hold te pressure since, changed to the LUST cross mark...no puncture since, the Aspen was faster on tar....as it has less nobbies, but cross mark for me, used the cross mark on my 26er for a year with no flats, and for the 29er it works well...

I hated the cross marks when they were on my bike. In fact i gave them away. Found that they were terrible when riding in wet/damp conditions.

Been riding the Schwable Rocket Rons and loving them. Have had one puncture on the rear but it sealed itself and i carried on riding.

Uuuuhm, looking at the picture in the first post, the fact they they don't work in wet is not really a surprise right?

Just bough my 29er crossmarks in Germany, another dump ground for these tires - tried yesterday and am not unhappy!

I have crossmarks front and back. They do not corner very nice, but I took of the little round knob with cross on the side of the tire. They corner much better now.

According to your diagram the Aspen, Monorail and Crossmark is the same tire? Non of them offering good cornering.

I see that the Monorail and Crossmark have equal 'cornering control'. That is total BS...

Science.

You need to quote the the person who wrote the article. (And his credentials)

What method was used?

Was it an independant study?

Refrain from calling an opinion a 'fact' or 'science'

Any person can type any old sentence on the net and call it science.

But please share your source.

Exakkery!

mmm, another almost meaningless tyre debate. I rate the X marks as a good allrounder especially in LUST - I have a 2.25 on the back - its fatter than the 2.35 Maxxis Ignitor I have on the front. Perfect for some extra traction, comfort and rim protection on the rocky downs I enjoy. Used Larsens for a year or two as well - also a good tyre in UST form...
