Hi There

Want to give this a go, my Cytomax is almost finished.

I have a 5 day MTB tour next week. So the 3l camelback will be used. I am 95 kg and fit enough. Think the routes will mostly be dirt roads but the distance is between 80-120 km per day for the 5 days.

How should I uses this product ? It is not the same as any other product so I will need some help ?

I hope Benmore or Dunckeld have stock

Thanks

32Gi Energy Soft Chews are now available for order direct from 32Gi. You asked for something to eat, well now you have it. We have energy chews packed to give up to 2 hours of energy per a 50 gram sachet. We added a little more kick to the chew, while keeping the GI factor very low, and it compliments the drink very well.

No sticking to your teeth, or difficult to swallow during intense exercise and tastes great.

Available in the same flavours as the drink, lime, raspberry, orange and peach.

I used the products for my carbo loading the week before Comrades and on the day I made use of the tables enroute all worked out perfectly for me. The chews was a good choice as well as I only used this and some banana's, thereafter I done the Kremetart on 32gi as well and must say I had no problems at all. Your product has worked for me. Thanks

If I find a source I'll let you know.

Cool thanks MariusL

I just emailed the peeps at 32Gi - apparently a lot of red tape to get their products in Dischem, but they are making progress.

For now, Kotov's (021 551 7785) stocks it. His shop is at the Coloseum building (opposite that BMW place me thinks) at Canal Walk. Ot thats what it sounded like - wasn't easy understanding his Russian accent :) He is placing an order later this week, as he only has orange flavour in stock at the mo.

Yah, it's opposite BMW SMG Branch near 'Canalla' Walk.

I was in there at Kotov's Corner on Fri - wanting to get some raspberry flave in addition to my lime - and he had about 4 units in the orange left.

So, if you're keen, make your move.

I recommend this product after really good performance results.

And... no, I do not work for the company.

Go for it, MariusL and udxcob!

udxob, apologies for that, it is going to be stocked there, Dis-Chem staff was on strike, and all delivered stock had been been pushed back until this week, so it will arrive there shortly, will keep u posted, but yes, Kotov has and we just shipped him a stock replenishment. We have employed a full time sales and marketing expert in the Cape and shortly distribution will widen quite rapidly there. Keep well

Mmmhhh - my experience with the product is not so great. I tried it in the Fast & Furious and started to cramp seriously within the first 20k's. I usually have minor problems with cramping and tried various other products and drinks. Gu Brew seems to have sorted this out. Also I prefer a slightly salty or bland drink and the 32GI is a bit sweet for me. I'm not blaming the product but not a great first impression on me...

Hi Tactic sorry to hear you cramped, but cramping is not caused by energy drinks. Usually its one of 2 things, intensity or diluted electrolytic levels, some energy drinks throw in 4 to 5 times the amount of isotonic requirement levels of potassium and sodium ours is purely isotonic,I would suggest looking more into this as the excessive amounts of potassium and sodium in an energy drink prevent the cramping but definitely do not treat the actual cause, so you should have a look at it more seriously. Its possible you are prone to cramping and the drinks u previously used have a higher concentration of electrolytes.

Racing at an intensity which is higher than training can cause cramping, but if it was only 20km in, then there are various other factors that come into play the other thing is sweat being hypotonic means that hydrating a little too much can cause cramping and u might need to look at your liquid intake. If you wanted more sodium in our drink you can add some salt to it, which would basically reduce the sweetness and increase the sodium level, but sweetness can be played with on our product by diluting it more.

hope this helps

Thanks Mark. Will certainly look into it. I'm sure it wasn't so much the intensity - I paced myself nicely and my HR was pretty much equal to training HR for me. I was just tired with no energy halfway through and cramping as well. Like you say - it could be various things. I'll experminent a bit and see how it goes....

Hi all

32Gi™ has launched its new soft chews. A single packet will give you approximately 2 or more hours of energy. They come in 4 flavours and taste great.

Currently only The Sweat Shop (Dunkeld, Fourways and Irene) has stock of our new chews but they will be rolling out to other retail outlets shortly.
