Yesterday I was riding the 5kms from my office in Jet Park to Rhodesfield station.

I saw a commuter running very fast but very comfortably. I slowed down and spoke to him about his commute.

He runs between Jet Park and Thembisa everyday of the week. I am not sure of the exact distances but he seem to think each leg was 30kms. That is a weekly running regime of 300 kms. He had no waterbottle so it was a dry run.

His next race is City to City (50km ultra).

I rode the rest of my commute in absolute awe.

That is insane man!! I ran the Two Oceans half marathon two years ago and that was only 21.2km. It took my legs a few days to recover from that run.

That is insane endurance! Respect!
