Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted September 16, 2011 Share I prefer bovril to marmite. Easier to spread... But fish paste ftw. Peck's anchovette. Always. As for a combo - bovril and proper cheese, pref gouda / cheddar. Or some Roquefort. Mmmmmmmm!
TNT1 Posted September 17, 2011 Share But fish paste ftw. Peck's anchovette. Always. Dunno. Once every few years I get a real hankering for fish paste, buy a tub, have one slice of toast with fish paste, and then the tub sits in the fridge till it grows legs and walks out the door. I wish they made it in single serving tubes.
Christie Posted September 17, 2011 Share Speculoos spread!! Agree! Love the stuff, but only get the occasional tub from the Netherlands. Wonder how long before we get it here? 2nd place goes to Nutella.

I wish they made it in single serving tubes. I know what you mean... This happens to me as well, but mine lasts slightly longer 'cos my fridge is a monster and sits at 1 degree the whole time. So everything lasts so much longer... But I don't have toast that much, and when I do, I skip between bovril & fish-paste. My wife hates the stuff, but then I can't stand peanut butter and she loves that. So we get even every now and again! As for the furries - it goes straight in the bin as soon as I see it hitting puberty.
CAAD4 Posted September 19, 2011 Share AFAIK only Marmite has it's own commercially available cycling jersey, so it has to be the winna!!
