Two go to their new home - a work colleague - on Monday, and I still am hoo-ing and haa-ing about whether or not to keep Porridge (below).

Actually he was named after Bruce Banner aka Hulk .. and I can confirm that Bruce leaves behind a trail of destruction wherever he goes. . Ai. All out peys have been given some or other movie character name.. Our Golden retriever is Logan (wolverine) the rescue is Coda (brother bear) cause he looked like a bear cub when we got him. IanJ Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Recently got involved with Husky Rescue in Bloemfontein. At the moment it is only a guy and he's wife looking after 13 Husky's on their own expense. Yesterday I got my first phone call to go and pick up a Husky at a homeless shelter that was hit by a car. On the phone it sounded bad as they told me the dogs leg, hip and back is damaged. The dog could only walk on three legs and was badly dehydrated when I picked him up. Took him to the vet and luckily nothing was broken. After some pain medication, a good meal, lots of water and sleep, he is running around this morning as if nothing had happened. Currently staying with me and hopefully we can find he's owner or a good home. Well done, keep up the good work down there and may Husky Rescue Bloemfontein grow from strength to strength.Good luck in tracing his owners, I presume he isn't chipped, I wish all pet owners would just get chips, makes ID so much easier.
