Our Rescue, Meeka. She's been with us for 5 months now. Incredible to see how they change, just because of having a loving family

I mentioned it somewhere else..but we also rescued a lab at 5 months..she would not leave our tar when we first got her and used to eat her food in ten seconds flat...now she is in absolute heaven and a pleasure to have around and loyal as all hell.....she still eats her food in ten seconds flat though!

Our youngest Basset is the same, flattens that bowl in 10 seconds flat. And talk about excitement when it hears the dog food container being opened. Barking and howling like only a Basset can howl!!!!

I had to buy Jazz a special bowl that has little nodes inside so that she has to fish around for her food in order to try and get her to eat slower.

Sounds cool, any idea on the make. Haven't seen them before.

The same Basset we call our little cow. He has markings quite similar to a Jersey cow and after every meal goes onto the lawn and starts eating grass, everytime without fail. He is healthy so no idea why he does it, doesn't throw up afterwards either. He has got the other one starting to do the same now too.

They sell them at Panorama Vet in CT. Try giving them a call maybe they can give you the distributors for your area.

I think its called a Dogma Bowl. You get the normal one and the one with finger like protrusions. You want the one with the protrusions.

The other option is spread out the food on a baking tray so they have to work harder. Not as good as the bowl but a good interim measure.

Its is just called a slow feeding bowl,

made by quite a few manufacturers such as Rogz.

Very worthwhile if your dogs eats very fast as it helps stop bloat.

My little "Buster" supporting my son and I at the races

Love those markings around his eyes - too cute.
