are you sure the magnet isn't touching the sensor?

 

That's probably it.

 

Unless you are listening to it in a very quiet place, cause then you will here hear (Damn celebration beer...) the magnet opening and closing the actuator or whatever it's called in the pick-up each time it passes. But riding on the road, you shouldn't hear that.

probably some part of the crank hitting the cadence sensor?

When I put mine on there was also a clicking sound so I just got off and pushed it(crank) around a few times and I saw that because of the new magnet it was tapping my pump...

 

Just roll it round and look for the problem.

checked all of the above. still there. will try to "zone" out sound!

what metal reeds are you referring to?
