DR ◣◢ Posted October 12, 2012 Share Day 5. All good still. A few rough spots with some very nearly leading to me caving in. Had a few drinks last night. Didn't smoke. All good so far. A little worried about the weekend. Will just have to keep myself busy as possible.

Champix ftw...I know quite a lot of people who succeeded with this pill.V12Man - apart from the extreme nausea, what other side effects do you know of with this pill? A little worried about the weekend. Will just have to keep myself busy as possible.Do yourself a favour and dont drink for a few weeks the next time you stop. I think one of the hardest parts of stopping smoking (if you enjoy a few drinks) is fighting off the urge to light up while drinking. And if your local is anything like the ones here in Magalies (where they allow smoking indoors, thats why they havent seen me for the last 3 years!) then give them a miss as well. I believe that to stop smoking you need to distance yourself from those who smoke as well as everything that makes you want to smoke, its only for a couple of weeks then the worst of it is over! DR ◣◢ Posted October 30, 2012 Share Mojoman, I don't drink at all. On the rare occasion Ill have a beer. V12 / Karma. Im considering Champix. Only problem is I don't work so lekker with any drugs that alter chemical balance in the brain for effect. Fine with suppressants.
Tubeless Posted October 30, 2012 Share Champix does help. Nothing to lose.
jcza Posted October 30, 2012 Share Sure it's been mentioned on here but Allen Carr Easyway works if you don't want patches, gum or drugs. Helps if you want to give up though. If you're not ready then it will be useless. fanievb
