  1. 1. Hypothetically speaking, you are about to pull the trigger and need to decided between the following uber bikes

    • Keep your Ibis Mojo HD
      6
    • Try a Turner 5-Spot
      3
    • Wait a month for a Morewood Sukuma
      16
    • Play it safe and risk going with an Ibis Mojo SL-R
      12
    • Go completely new and order an Intense Tracer 2
      6
    • Pray that Morewood's Mbuzi replacement is imminent
      5
    • Give the Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon a go
      27
    • Please the_wes and add the Commencal AM to the list
      9
    • Or go for the killer looking Yeti SB-66
      18

Giant Reign X has to be on the list - maybe not as "boutique" as some of the other brands, but able to equal them on performance and beat them on budget and back up.

Might not be the AM BEAST you are exactly looking for, but I think you will make a mistake to exclude the 2012 TOMAC range from your considerations....

The build quality is awesome, if you want to pedal UP and DOWN, then these TOMAC's are awesome bikes.

I built my bike with 140mm back / 150mm front - it weights 12.9KG with pedals - and it's great for riding ALL day UP and DOWN almost anything.

IT'S Official: the first change to poll options. Carbine dropped in favor of Tracer 2.

Reason 1: Let's give Intense time to perfect the art of carbon

Reason 2: From what I've read too Trail orientated

Reason 3: Have been receiving threatening emails biggrin.gif

Like my Poppa use to say, "It's better to have loved and lost than to be butt-ugly."

Available from the same guys who do Ibis and Pivot.

If Norco was available locally this would be on the list.

There, that one!

The Range or Truax, hmm?? Ah, heck, I'd take both!

Until then, try catch me on my Reign, XC or DH!

They are, but just not locally available... not seen ANY local marketing for them yet??

Omega, the closet Pivot fan. I'm going to tell your Mbuzi!

As far as I know Pivot aren't lighting up the scoreboard any where in the world. Pics added for your viewing pleasurethumbup1.gif

I'm not a Pivot fan but I am a DW link fan. I do love my Mbuzi tho. Such a fun bike.

Hmmm....just go with the alu Tracer 2? I think the Carbine might be a bit too much on the "trail" side of AM for the type of riding you're into.

I got a note from the sysadmin asking me to stop setting a bad example by surfing porn.

Day two and the Yeti has made up some ground to go equal first with the Nomad. Nobody seems to think I should hang on to the HD...
