Tough exciting. Outspun and so many fielding errors. Eish. However, this reflects well, hey

Remarkable 2nd innings... summarized completely in the stats of these two bowlers.

55 minutes of play on day 5 resulting in the loss of the last 7 wickets

The 2 spinners have cleaned up the 4th innings again. Good result.

Lighting strikes twice, a week apart. And just a few overs more than last time.

Remarkable

I think history will show he did that, even though that's not what he did.

this entire process has just ended up as an entire own goal. respect to smith and boucher for holding the moral high ground.

meanwhile, the toxic sludge that is the england test team seem to be doing ok against the world champions

NZ won the toss and chose to bat.

39/6 @ lunch

132 all out

Then england do their best anything you can do i can better, and go from 92/2 to 141 all out.

Lords pitch is not a snakepit, okes bowling well and batting crap

If anything the pitch looks rather solidly good for batting if you apply yourself properly. Which is what Blundell and Mitchell have shown so far. You got to think New Zealand will be looking to get to 350+ in order to feel that the momentum is in their favor. Anything less and the English might believe there is a small chance they can pull off an unlikely win.

With the professional era, this is a remarkable achievement by the all-rounder. Class act.

I wonder what the price was. While it feels like we have been colonised here, this does at least get us some medium term stability and power for a t20 league to work.

Also, hats off to Graeme Smith for taking on this job and making it work. Would have been very easy to walk away from CSA or take then on legally, but he chose to build bridges rather. Legend.

boys are doing nicely at Lords.

9 wickets in hand, trail first innings by 60 runs. Granted they got good conditions with a toss win, but had to make it happen, and KG stepped up.

As test cricket schedule is getting snookered for us, this is potentially quite an important series to get our 'value' up.

With England being outplayed in every aspect of the game and losing by an innings within three days, I was a bit surprised by how upbeat Stokes' post-match interview was.  A touch of delusion I thought.

Our record at Lord's is rather impressive, 5 wins from 7 matches since our re-admission. Not sure about it prior to that.
