SA lucky to have an experienced opener like Smith to carry the responsibility when Amla & Kallis don't play.......NOT!!

Time for teletubby bye-bye, I say!

I would keep him for the Test arena; no more than that.

let the younger players come through.

Horses for courses, I say.

On another hand, Amla is a bit of an enigma. Wow! What a player!

From news24:

Former Proteas convenor Mike Procter believes Graeme Smith's friendship with Gary Kirsten is saving his spot in the SA team.

And in Dubai:

Pakistan rolls England over by 10 wickets in the 1st of the 3 match test series.

Lekka!

Couldn't agree more. Lovely to see the English get a hiding.

Dale Steyn is also know as "The Steyn Remover"...

He can remove you from the batting crease in a wink... And bowl you 'cleanly'!

Would be good to see Tsotsobe and Philander bowl in tandem, at least Tsotsobe seems to have gotten leaner and is bowling well again

So there you go Mr Smith...

Another life... Just because you scored a half century!! (After what felt like a decade)

Graeme just secured his place in the squad after scoring a half ton

I reckon Graeme should be the face for Mcdonalds or Burger King???

despite the awesomeness of AB, this run rate graph bugs me plenty:

post-6789-0-56480000-1327076055.jpg

circles represent fall of wickets:

1. A Petersen

2. Smithers

3. Ingram

4. Duminy

5. AB

6. Faf

7. Parnell.

That curve suggests it's Smithers/Alviro that got the run rate up, and his departure saw an overall slow down until parnel/petersen picked it up again.

this graph is somewhat pleasing and unsettling: very low boundary rate, but the team's willing to work out there. Guess SL was a lot more effective in stemming the boundaries than the score suggests and get ZA to really work that ball around and carry their bats.
