Vetseun Posted February 12, 2014 Share No pressure. Aussies are having fun now. I dont like it when the Aussies have fun.
Cellar Posted February 12, 2014 Share Why is Clarke sending in Marsh before him? Surely he cant be scared of the second best attack in the world? I don't get it. No one accuses AB of hiding. Clarke lives in the middle order. 4/5, doesn't really matter, it's not a specialist position like an opener or a no.3.
Mr Winter Posted February 13, 2014 Share Not as scared as Biff is of Mitchell, why else not bat at SS park? Statistically speaking we've won more matches at SS bowling first than what we have when we batted first
Vetseun Posted February 13, 2014 Share Statistically speaking we've won more matches at SS bowling first than what we have when we batted firstLets hope, and it has happened before that the bowling machine clicks into gear this morning. The second ball is 6 overs old. Steyn wasnt at full steam yesterday. Philander very average. Morne looked nasty. Unfortunately we dont have a world class spinner. Robbie P is a very average bowler and that idiot Tahir even less.I still dont and never have considered Smith to be a good captain. But that is IMO. Kranswurm Posted February 13, 2014 Share Marsh and Smith are both classy batsmen. Also their middle order do not panic which we tend to doIf we do not get an early break thru this morning we are in for it DARK KNIGHT

I like Smith so opinion is very biased, but I believe they should of looked at JP as the spinner for this test match and brought in Parnel as another seam attack. Philander always looks average until he gets a wicket and then he picks up a few pretty quickly, lets hope that's what happens this morning. If we can bowl them out for under 400 it will be a bit of a psychological victory for us.

'Dale Posted February 13, 2014 Share Slowing their scoring rate down is almost as critical as wickets. What a platform for Haddin to come in with a dangerous 60 off 45 deliveries. The Proteas need to nip this innings. The pitch looks real batting friendly now. Here's hoping SA gets in on in quick.

Yeah, but the problem with Smith is that he goes defensive as soon as the Aussies start scoring quickly. AB should take over the captaincy full time. Mr Winter Posted February 13, 2014 Share I would put Albie morkel in before Parnel I actually didn't even think about Albie but I like that idea, I think a big hitter in a test squad would really keep the oppositions captain on his toes fabes

They have 2 bad sessions yesterday and all of sudden we need to change our whole approach. I think it is a bit early to start panicking Edited February 13, 2014 by fabes SwissVan
Noshow Posted February 13, 2014 Share Smith is remarkable as a captain because he has maintained his own form and has a world class record as opener - not many have ever done that. fabes and ruib
