Can't even do that at the moment.

I hurt a muscle in my lower back during the previous night getting out of bed for the damn cat. She has this tendency to wake me around 4am so that I can drip some water from the tap in the bath for her to drink. And she sits in the bath meowing until I do so.

Eish man

What a storie

and to add.....nothing quoterish about faf, van zyl, viljoen...even morkel at this point

rabada and bavuma both performed well (ok bavuma could have batted better this test...but he didnt bat worse than everyone else)

An interesting side note on Bavuma's batting: his conversion rate from 50's to 100's is good with every third fifty being made into a hundred. His issue (and in context the rest of the SA batting unit for the past 9 tests) is converting his starts into fifties, which is only every fourth innings. Address that and you'll see a quick improvement in his average.

Sadly our batting has been a tad over reliant on AB and Hash with Faf & Elgar regular contributors. Everyone needs to jack themselves up.

As for the franchise's I really like Gluvs comment concerning mentorship. They should look at that as a way to help raise standards for all players.

The problem is that the franchise quota players are purely making up the numbers (not all, but many of them). This dilutes the competition somewhat. Historically you would be able to cover each position in the Proteas side with at least 2 other specialists from the franchises, now we are seriously scratching our heads when we lose 1 or 2 senior players and have 1 or 2 that retired.

Our recent retirees were all pretty special in their own right but ja standards do need to get brought up. Batsmen need to work on their conversion rates as well as their scoring rates. Game management should be discussed by all. Bowlers need to have set plans that can be augmented on the fly. These are things an astute coach will look at and be doing with his players. The question is whether or not this is happening.

Yup. Apparently he threatened some of the cricketers and their families if they talk. He's either sh!tscared that who-ever he was working for is going to come around for a drink, or he's a really rotten individual.

...to have been paid at least R75,000 (£3,100)...

It seems like such a pittance to embark on such a risk.... But obviously enticing enough!

As cricinfo tells me:

6-1

South Africa's win-loss record batting first in Centurion. The only Test they lost batting first at this venue was against England in 1999-00.

I'd LOVE to hear what Makhaya Ntini (worst commentator in the world) has to say now, specifically regarding Tsolekile....

Listening to the commentary the other day during the Wanderers test he plain and simple would not shut up about him, complaining how he wasn't brought in instead of Dane Villas. Always punting a transformation agenda (hope he's happy in Zimbabwe now).

I'd also love to hear what Tsolekile has to say for himself. My money is on some rubbish about how he was forced into it by the situation... A situation created by the racists who have conspired to exclude him from the South African team despite how awesome and in demand he is (enter worlds' smallest violin....)
