I have small holes in my suit after just about every tri. I just take it to the local trishoppe, in PE that would be Triangle sports and they fix it for me, takes about 10 min and it cost just about nothing. If there is no such place close to you try a diveshop.

try asking Orca maybe? I know there was/is a shop - Choral (spelling?) - that make wetsuits in CT area.

Not 100% sure of their location - just heard of people having custom suits made there.

Edit: I am sure they can fix wetsuits there too.

I've fixed holes before. I put my toe through my brand new wetsuit a few weeks after getting it. I was devastated.

Phone troisport in JHB and ask them which glue it is that you need to buy to fix a wetsuit. I remember buying it at pick n pay. Its an over the counter easy to get glue but I forget the name and type. Worked like a bomb, you just need to be methodical with it and layer it on using a match stick or something similar.

PM me if you don't come right and Ill look at the name of it when I get home.

Coral wetsuits are based in Cape Town. They should be able to help.

Alternatively, any dive shop should sell the glue/cement needed to fix the tear.

You can also get neoprene glue. Of course it depends on the tear as to whether it will last.

Back in my student days I did a fair bit of snorkeling for crayfish & perlemoen and I had saved up for a new 5mm suit and on my first outing got dumped on the rocks by a wave and put a gash in the sleeve. :cursing: Patched it with some neoprene glue once and never came apart.

All the wetsuit manufacturers like REEF, CORAL, ZERO sell wetsuit patch kits, it contains a tube of neoprene glue and a few various sizes of patches. Just apply the glue on both sides, allow to dry and join, easy as that.

Your problem may be they are likely all closed now, but try Reef, they are the biggest and based in Ottery, they have a small shop attached to the factory, ask for Dave or Barry, tel - 021 703 6662 - they may even be able to repair it for you there, but if not they will definitely have kits.
