crodi Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Deciding between these 3 to purchase. Which one is best, any other suggestions are welcome. My riding is recreational, but fast single track riding is what I ride most. http://www.merida-bikes.com/en_za/bike/2012/9/MTB+Full+Suspension/Ninety-Six+CF+XT-Dhttp://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-za/bikes/model/anthem.x.2/10744/53396/http://www.scott-sports.com/us_en/product/11255/61164/221693
Just Keep Pedaling Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 As the three biggest selling value brands there won't be much difference between their value offering. Rather pick a good bike shop in your area to buy one from.
Bos Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I think the scott comes with 110 travel and 120 in front, should make good for trails. But why do you want to get a xc race bike when you enjoy trails? get a trance, or any other 5' bike, much more worth it if you dont race
crodi Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 Went with the Anthem. Good compromise, racey yet comfortable on trails.
Iwan Kemp Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Went with the Anthem. Good compromise, racey yet comfortable on trails. Good call.

Merida, well thats just a girls bike
Doggone Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Anthem is like the Toyota Hilux of xc bikes. Just keeps going.Ok I am biased. . . . .
